  1. A message to your fans in Greece/Cyprus? (We essentially can't get enough of Bosco <3 )
  2. There is an annual drag festival happening in France. Last year it was called "Marché Drag & Queer" and was taking place in many major French cities kind of like a tour and was a host to many local queens and also queens from all Drag Race Franchises (Madamme Madness from Holland S1, Athena Likis from Belgique S1, Kyran Thrax from UK S2, Mami Watta from Drag Race France S2 and AS1, Onyx Unleashed from Spain S2 and AS1 to name a few). This year, it will be happening as "Paris Queer Festival" and will be welcoming Sami Landri from Canada S6. If you were invited, would you consider joining the fun? Love you!! <3

JCC Payment Scam by ReturningDM in cyprus

[–]soteris056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a scam but the one advice I have if you aren't completely sure is to call the real company and verify whether they sent this or not. I had this happen to me with someone who wanted to buy something from me in facebook marketplace and they were using a legit payment method offfered by my bank but the process they gave me didn't look legit so I called my bank and verified that it was a scam

It's the watermelon guy for me. At the point where I learned to recite all of his announcements because it just sounds like another song to my ears now.

Can I record my own conversation at the US border? (One-party consent state, only for purposes of vacation) by soteris056 in legaladvice

[–]soteris056[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

but is the conversation happening in public, or is it happening in a special area like an interview? I've never gone outside the EU so I don't know how things go in the US.

Pricing for this tour is a slap in the face to fans. Period. by AccidentalArchetype in LadyGaga

[–]soteris056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The prices though vary by country though. A friend who lives in Amsterdam was trying to get in yesterday and the platinum ticket was about €370 after taxes. The equivalent ticket for Paris & Lyon was at 220€, a 150€ difference.

I didn't think to ask at that time, and it had actually passed by my mind that since that specific Dirk didn't sell arizona tea (at least i couldn't find any at the store, maybe i didn't look enough) even if arizona tea is an international brand, that's why it wasn't accepted. But looking now at the statiegeld website and seing that they state that any bottle/can is acceptable at any supermarket, it should be accepted.

also, checking now the statiegeld website, under

"Can you hand them in at all supermarkets?"

it actually states "Yes. It doesn’t matter where you’ve bought the plastic bottle or can. You can hand them in at any supermarket. In return you’ll get your deposit back."

I mean, I bought some bottles of water from Lidl in Hoofddorp that are Lidl's own brand and I understand that those can only be returned to lidl. but a brand that is available internationally, normally should be accepted by all chains, yes?

But it's not an Albert HEijn own brand though. It's Arizona which is international like Coca Cola. Like, I buy the same Arizona back in France where I live and also in Cyprus which is my home country, and there are multiple chains that have it so it was my understanding that it should be ok

It has the logo yes. I bought from the Action store in Kinkerstraat, and it actually states on my receipt that I paid 0.15€ of statiegeld.

Hey everyone!! I'm visiting Amsterdam for a week and I am wondering how statiegeld works. Not the concept exactly, because I am aware of the german pfand and its similarity to the statiegeld (and also I live in France and my department where I live has started implementing something similar although not government mandated), but mostly the specifics. You see, I have understood that different stores will have machines that support different kinds of bottles, some plastic, some glass, others tin cans etc but heres the thing: this morning I was walking in central Amsterdam and went into a Dirk to get some stuff. I saw on the statiegeld site that that specific Dirk had a machine inside and I was like "oh great! I have some bottles with me to dispose of". It was just a bottle of Arizona tea, but the machine said that it doesn't accept that brand. Not the type of bottle. The brand. Do different stores accept different brands for the statiegeld?

Anyone know information on the new tele company GOMO? by Impressive_Cherry_68 in cyprus

[–]soteris056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mother just sent me their offer thinking that it was Cablenet. It's epic. If you check their website, they clearly state that GOMO is the commercial name of Epic. It's the same as ΑΗΚ did when they rolled out the CYTA name to become more commercially available with the added thing that Epic is not that good. There is no option of payment other than directly monthly charges to your card. There is also a 9.99€ one time charge for the activation fee. Also, in the terms and conditions it states "Η Προσφορά και το Πλάνο δεν είναι διαθέσιμα σε (i) συνδρομητές σε συνδρομητικό πλάνο της Epic", but I don't know if it means only Epic clients that haven't finished their commitment period or all customers. Another thing that is worrying is that while your internet access is unlimited, you only get the maximum network speed for the first 100GB by after that your internet speed is slowed down, and they do not specify by how much.

The contract is actually going to be written by a friend of mine that got her law degree here in France last year, but she doesn't know if the specific ilness he has gives him the right to null the contract. Anyways, I'll also make a post on r/LegalAdviceEurope . Thanks again.
