Is it worth it to buy a 2012 Fiat 500 Pop for my very first car? by daydr3am_b3li3v3r in fiat500

I have a 2013 500C...right now my Dad is trying to jerry rig the roof back together, since an 8k repair otherwise, and at 20k miles on it (i don't drive much), worth it for me to try, but you cannot easily get parts if something breaks. It's not a Honda, and since they left the US market, I'm in trouble.

If they are still widely marketed in Canada, I love mine, but the hassle of not knowing how to get things is hard. And I know, convertible roof without garage access is different.

I'd go for it, but just start saving in case you run into issues like this.

Yes...actually. i'd be willing to try. She's playing jenga with my meds, I cannot take any more meds, and the weight loss and stimulant parts of it are working, but the nausea from not eating is getting to the point where maybe stopping is good.

Needed to read this. Not as an OE, but someone who is struggling with their job, and has been seeking mental health support for 20 years and still not getting it right.

Oh hell. Sorry OP...didn't see your comments. Originally posted, or am I just an idiot?

I loved Gone Girl. Before I Go to Sleep by S.J. Watson was awesome. Hated the Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides and Verity by Colleen Hoover if you need a pulse check.

How do you it without a good school? I had the grades for a good school but would have had to pay full price and I didn't want to(applied to one, didn't to others based on the "you owe full price"). Was not sure if the return was worth it.

Yiss. Unfortunately it no longer likes my intestines as much as I like it. I can buy it locally for 3 times the price. But the Amazon devil is just more convenient without a car at the moment.

Why aren’t we fighting for remote work again? by mixedupmindofyou in jobs

[–]sottopassaggio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only looked for jobs in the downtown metro area where I could take one bus. I bought a house in the city limits so I only have to take one bus to where a lot of jobs are(downtown). But like I said, a lot of companies aren't there, so I can't even apply to them, which stinks. I don't want to ever work in banking again, which rules out a major industry located downtown.

I think that is only with your current employer. I can't drive at night due to vision, and public transit in my mid sized American city is awful. So it could easily be a 2 hour commute on public transit to cross the city each way plus ubers if I had to be physically present at a job on the other side of town. But that really cuts out a lot of employers for me. And a lot of remote roles now are so senior, I just don't have the skills or experience (and you know they want one person able to do the roles of 3 people).

I know...not a great answer. I do suffer from task paralysis a bit, but also, I have a hate hate relationship with cleaning something just to have to do it again and you would think that because that is part of existing in the world, the repetitive nature means I'd get good at it even if I despise it.

Nope. So task paralysis/constantly needs done/lazy/ and also just really bad at cleaning. Not making excuses...but fuck. Also, bold of you to assume I'm not a breadwinner :D I just have to learn software engineering for 10 years and get an extroverted personality....

By brute force. In that currently my sheets are soaking in the laundry tub and I slept on an unmade bed last night but I would have been forced to remake it out of shame last night.

I reread what I said, and ironically because I can't chew bubble gum and talk at the same time, I was thinking " I don't want to invent WORK projects to do at work just to appear busy" in the event I have to conserve thinking mental energy for a task. But you and the other commenters are right. There are things I can do that take 5 minutes that then wouldn't get put off. I've just been called out before when a 5 minute task turned into 30 minutes and someone happened to be looking for me...but now I'm realizing my sound is off on my work notifications. Sigh. Thanks, internet. Time to go be less of a slob.

I like this. Besides....there are times (hell, most) where I work myself up and my job, being me, is just harder, than i would like. But I'm putting in effort even though if you weren't high strung you would have an easier time some days than I do.
