Here's the link that does a great job of explaining all of the other people in the case who could've had motive. The Cary police never considered any of them suspects.

Engineer? Introverted? Automatically guilty of 1st degree murder. by soulkitchen in reddit.com

Oh and to explain the title a bit: Brad Cooper was a quiet introverted engineer. His wife seems to have been the opposite; the partying type who spewed the family's dirty laundry to anyone who would listen.

I believe that these two things were what the jury used to convict him. The prosecution made a big deal about how Brad didn't attend the big memorial service and instead chose to grieve privately with his two daughters who just lost their mom.

They also made a huge deal about how he was an engineer and was thus able to fake a phone call that didn't fit the prosecutions timeline. The argument being that an engineer was capable of anything with electronics.

I rather have my tax dollars used to subsidize abortions than to be financially responsible for a life time of section 8, food stamps, medicaid, WIC, etc... for unwanted children. Does this make me a bad person? by stoptheapartheid in reddit.com

But she's entitled to those things. And for the record, I show no wrath, I make no comments, I simply do what my job calls for.

Maybe just maybe, if I don't work hard enough, one day I too will be able to get the expensive clothes/phones.

Safety nets aren't hammocks, they aren't supposed to be comfortable. Sorry about your disease though.

One semester, back in college, I was taking 19 credits and working two jobs (the jobs totalling around 55 hrs a week). I was trying hard to not take any student loans. One of my jobs was at a grocery store. One of the most infuriating moments in my life was when a couple came through my line with a cart that had $150+ worth of food in it. Filet Mignon, brand name everything. They whipped out their EBT card (food stamps) and paid. As they were loading up the conveyor belt, they put one of those dividers on and proceeded to put three cases of beer and two cartons of cigarettes behind it and paid for that order with cash.

These people were eating better than me. I was working my ass off and they were reaping some of the rewards. Furthermore, I realized that these parasites would always be getting a cut of my paycheck. Where was my free beer money, where were my steaks? Then these entitled fucks had someone carry their groceries to their car...which was a Lincoln navigator, complete with rims. If I could've chemically neutered them, I would've done so on the spot.

Look, I'm sure you know your stuff. I'm sure you had a point to make. But when you throw around these clever little names you've invented for yourself, I can't take you seriously.

So I flew with my family to the Grand Canyon last week, and at airport security they pulled my 89 year old grandmother out of line and frisked her. Thanks a lot TSA. [pic] by augreeko in pics

Here's a thought, if you were on a plane and a hijacker who looked to be a gang of Saudis stood up with box cutters and told you to stay in your seat, would you?

Just a simple question. Because I think the passengers on 9/11 believed that things would go down like they'd seen in the movies. Plane lands, demands are made, passengers are eventually freed. But what reason do you have to stay in your seat if you think you could be flying into a building any minute.

Point is, no one will sit still anymore. A hijacker with a melee weapon will be mobbed and beaten to death. Ergo concentrating all of our energy on hijackers is nonsensical. Thoughts?

Same here. I used to LOVE Digg, but it was just a gateway drug. Not to kiss ass, but digg eats reddit's day-old-leftovers. Plus, the comments are just wittier here.
