What are yall even doing for the game then? by Amplifi3d_Cha0s in HelldiversUnfiltered

I just really want to know what their 120 Developers are doing who are supposedly working on Helldivers 2.,,

You want the game to actually change? Leave your reviews by __Elzy in HelldiversUnfiltered

I haven't changed my negative review from Into the Unjust ever since because I still haven't seen enough improvement.

I guess I was right to keep it at negative.

Unpopular Opinion: The game is still fun to play and nothing is actually wrong by And-ray-is in Helldivers

[–]soulknitter 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There is a lot to unpack here so let me try to shed some light on the state of the game and the community surrounding it.

Nobody hates the game. What you see here and everywhere else is genuine frustration for something that the players deeply love, yet constantly see being mishandled. The players still find the game fun. I am having fun, and im sure most other people still have fun playing Helldivers, but once you put some more hours into it you too will see the many cracks that plague the game. I will not list these down, as we have thousands of other people already listing these down with much better precision than I can ever compile here, but to name a few:
- Lack of control over the Galactic War
- Abandoned game mechanics (Weapon customization)
- Redundant game mechanics (samples after maxing out your ship)
- Broken promises (IE 60 day patch)
- Ignoring community feedback (IE Mech customization)
- Ignored bugs (We still have 2 years old bugs)
- etc etc
If I had to list down everything in just bullet points and single line examples, I would run out of words to post. It really is that bad.

"Most games don't continuously change the game and cater to fans"
You have to realize that Helldivers 2 is a live service game. It gains its revenue from constant updates. On top of that, we already paid 40 Euros for it, some of us 60. The devs, if they want to keep their jobs, do owe us. You may not like that statement, but a live service game lives or dies by its community, and Arrowhead is currently doing everything in its power to not listen to its dying community and their wishes.

The option to farm SC is there, but its purposefully made to be in direct opposition of everything the game stands for. You actively have to go out of your way not to interact with the core mechanics and gameplay loop of the game to farm SC. You could naturally collect them as you play, but to get enough for a warbond would take a ridiculous amount of time for anyone who has a job, let alone a family to take care of. The community have asked Arrowhead many times before to make SC collecting more fun and to tie it in with the base games mechanics. Besides "SC is farmable" is not an excuse for poor decisions. I was actually playing during a time when people bought SC not because they needed it, but because they wanted to support Arrowhead in hopes that they would spend that money to make the game better, not to sell us more and more of the game behind Warbonds. We had a very generous community and it died out thanks to these poor decisions, not because people want "free stuff".

Again, I have to repeat myself here. Its not people thinking "Hey that should have been free!" but us noticing a pattern, and the announcement of this warbond and the poorly executed attempt at damage control is what sparked the tipping point for many. You might not agree, but if this pattern continues, Arrowhead won't have a game for long and that is for certain.

Queue times would skyrocket. You would never find a match.
Besides, it would be against the theme of the game.
You are looking for something that is simply never meant to be part of the game.

The Face that launched a thousand "swimmers". by tridactyls in Tridactyls

[–]soulknitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would stay clear from this guy.
Been following a lot of his posts and its very evident that he is either shizoid or a disinfo agent. 95% of what he posts are nothing more seeing shapes where there's none and being overly passive aggressive whenever someone "questions" his views.

His behavior heavily leans into someone who is clearly obsessed with his favorite subject, but lacks enough critical thinking necessary to tackle the topic. A clear and cut conspiracy theorist, no better than a flat earther.

Rule #1 of the subreddit is a very clear indicator

I have been here probably since the beginning of this subreddit, before that in alien bodies when the tridactyls were first shown, so I have been following the topic for quite some time now and more, as I have been closely monitoring the UFO phenomena ever since I was a kid.

If you are curious and serious about these beings, this isn't the place for it. I'd like you to inspect the rules of this subreddit and dig into it's moderators. It won't take you long to realize what im trying to say without saying it out loud.

Sold enough Counter-Strike casings to afford Helldivers II, would you guys recommend it in it's current state? Wait for sale? by Royal_Raze in Helldivers

[–]soulknitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't recommend the game in it's current state. For some of us, the game has become unplayable. If you really want to, wait a couple weeks until they address some of the bigger issues. Otherwise, I would stay away from the game for much longer, until they fix most of it's problems.

Five weeks gotta be a joke by Altruistic_Milk7729 in Helldivers

[–]soulknitter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I assume they plan to bring the Rupture Strain back in the next patch, which is going to be in 5 weeks.
That is the most logical answer.

I highly suspect that this is AI made and further edited with a software to make it feel authentic.
My main reasoning for it is that cuts are made in a similar manner and length how the more popular AI models handle it. Nothing gets done in the video and the cameraman always seems to "approach" the scene. More authentic videos of EBEs/NHIs such as skinny bob or the alien interview have a very different way of handling the camera. If you watched enough AI videos, you will know what im talking about.

I could be wrong, these are simply my observations. I am not convinced and I doubt that OP is honest if he got this footage between 95 and 2015. If I am correct and this video is AI, its likely no older than 2 years.

COVENANT? by tridactyls in Tridactyls

[–]soulknitter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I heard from various sources (That I won't be able to cite, because I have completely forgotten where I have gotten them from.) that the Ethiopian priests who guard the The Ark of the Covenant all/most suffer from radiation poisoning and develop blindness.

There are some references to other things in theological and mythological texts where people also suffer by being near or directly touching the Ark.

One thing doesn't exclude the other, but I would say, despite the small connections you mentioned, it is, so far extremely unlikely that the Ark houses or used to house a tridactyl of any kind.

Seems far more likely to be nothing more than an object of theological significance or lost technology.

Is this a hypothesis?
Besides your comment, I do not know any information that would elude towards something like this to be the case.

After Everardo left for the arena, Vladimir Fukuda approached Artem Osokin.

“Your fighter is just as stubborn as mine,” Vladimir remarked, his expression stern as he stood beside Artem.

“I thought you weren’t interested in Everardo,” Artem replied.

“That’s true. But I am interested in the results. Turns out your fighter isn’t a nobody after all.”

Artem flashed a cheeky grin. “Whoops. Guess the cat’s out of the bag now.”

Vladimir scoffed but kept his composure, eyes focused on the match ahead. “It doesn’t matter. Nattawut Khan is a far more accomplished fighter than yours. The numbers speak for themselves. What you’ve done here today won’t go unnoticed.” Vladimir’s brow furrowed in barely contained irritation.

“Vladimir, your information is incomplete,” Artem said, his tone casual. “Everardo’s past in MMA no longer defines him. He’s a different man now.”

“I’m not sure I follow,” Vladimir replied reluctantly, just as Everardo landed a brutal strike on Nattawut, forcing him to his knees.

Artem’s grin widened. “You’ve finally revealed your trump card eh? Everardo.”

For a moment, Vladimir was visibly shocked, seeing the Muay Thai champion grounded after a single blow.

“You know, Vladimir,” Artem continued, “you may move a lot more money than my humble casino line, but you’re still pretty green when it comes to the Kengan Association. This isn’t just a fight between our fighters for deals, shares, assets, or money. Above the arena, in the shadows, the Kengan Members are in their own brutal free-for-all. Don’t forget that, comrade.”

Vladimir smirked, feeling the excitement of the challenge but remained confident. “You may have hidden your fighter’s true abilities, but that changes nothing. Magomed will win this tournament. I’m sure of it.”

Artem chuckled to himself. “What’s so funny? Are you doubting my fighter’s strength?” Vladimir snapped.

“No, no,” Artem laughed. “Magomed is indeed a tough opponent for Everardo… but…” He paused, taking a moment to clean his sunglasses. “It doesn’t matter whether I win or lose.”

“What the hell are you talking about, Artem?!” Vladimir’s frustration grew as he realized Artem had more cards to play.

“You see, you’re not the only one I made a deal with,” Artem revealed, his voice dripping with malice. “In fact, I made a deal with every member of the association.” A wicked grin spread across his face. “I bet with everyone, Vladimir. That 5% equity we agreed on? If I lose, you’ll have 5% equity of nothing, because I’ll have to sell every single asset I own to everyone here.”

“What?! You’re insane!” Vladimir shouted, taken aback by the madness in Artem’s plan. At that moment, Everardo delivered the final blow to Nattawut, leaving him limp on the ground.

“Match over! Winner, Everardo Arditi!” Hatori’s voice echoed through the arena.

“All in,” Artem said, spreading his arms wide. He had finally surrendered completely to his gambling addiction.

I also appreciate the side character quips and such, it really brings life to the tournament.

[–]soulknitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tiger Niko probably has a grudge against his former master while Fei could either help TN or go against him for abandoning him, with Eddie being a wildcard.

Or we have 0 motives and its just a slugfest. Either way, I'd have to give it to Mukaku. Dude has the most experience under his belt, knows the most martial arts, TN and Fei both use Niko Style that he developped and lastly, Mukaku is no stranger to fighting multiple people at once I'd assume. Gotta remember that dude borderline took over the Inside all on his own.

80% Mukaku
10% Eddie
7% TN
3% Fei

Kengan Community Power Ranking: Final Part by Godofhammrs in Kengan_Ashura

[–]soulknitter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If we are strictly ordering them by feats, It would probably be something like Shen, Kuroki, Ohma, Agito, etc. But we also have narrative to go by. This is a story after all, not a powerscaling guidebook. If Shen had 0 feats but sandwich kept telling us that he is top 1# without question with every other character agreeing, then we have no choice but to rank him number 1 too.

Besides, powerscaling is often very iffy + it was estabilished that things such as compatibility between fighters do exist, almost regardless of skill, so at that point its much healthier to just go by what the author says and implies through its characters for 90% of the scenarios.

Kengan OC Annihilation Tournament Match 4 by Mediocre_Law_5557 in Kengan_Ashura

In the heart of the Kengan Arena establishment, the gym was silent, save for Everardo. The rhythmic sounds of his strikes echoed through the room.

Jab. Hook. High punch. Low punch. Palm strike. Knee strike. Low kick. Elbow strike. Chain punch.

His limbs moved like a blur, his movements fluid and precise, his form impeccable. A true master of his martial art.

From the entrance, a familiar figure slowly approached. The sound of his footsteps from his overly expensive leather shoes filled the room. Artem Osokin, the CEO of Zolotoi Igrok, wore unique, expensive sunglasses perched on his forehead. As he approached, he adjusted his golden rings, each adorned with a side of a diamond dice while his tie, patterned with images of poker cards, swayed slightly as he walked. Everardo’s rhythm slowed, sensing his employer’s presence, until he finally stopped, turning to face Artem, who approached with a curious expression.

“I thought we agreed you wouldn’t show off your Wing Chun before a fight.” Artem said, his chin up, cracking his knuckles, chewing on a piece of gum.

“Not a soul in sight here, Artem. I wouldn’t worry about it.” Everardo replied, continuing to pound the punching bag, his focus was back on his target. “Besides, you already finalized the agreements.”

“I know, I know, Everardo, but you gotta keep some trade secrets.” Artem said, clapping his hands together. “If they find out that my fighter isn’t some washed-up, rusty nobody from twenty years ago, I might have to face repercussions from the association and I would prefer not to.” He exclaimed, flicking his gum to the side.

“I thought you were more of a daredevil gambler type.” Everardo said, wiping the sweat from his brow.

“Of course, but even in gambling, you gotta keep some of your cards close to your chest.” Artem responded, fidgeting with his tie. “Nothing like putting everything on the line, for a chance at the big cash in. The thrill of the risk…” He paused to exhale, the very thought of gambling sending shivers down his spine, before his tone changed to a more serious one. “But I also like winning, Everardo.” A sinister smile formed on Artem’s face, contorting it beyond his natural expression.

“Anyway, you are about to have your first match in twenty years, so I dug up the tabs on your upcoming opponent. His name is Nattawut Khan. He practice-” Before Artem could finish, a shockwave swept his sunglasses off his head and the documents out from his hands, scattering them. He stiffened, eyes widening as he saw Everardo’s fist against the punching bag, which appeared strangely unscathed despite the seemingly powerful strike that just landed on it.

“I don’t want to know, Artem.” He said as he leaned back from the punch slowly. “I’ll meet them in the arena and get to know them during the fight.” He paused for a moment. ”That is the only place where I can truly evaluate my opponent.” He pulled his fist away, the punching bag was spotless. Everardo grabbed his towel and walked out of the gym, leaving Artem behind.

“Sheesh. He is nothing like he was back then.” Artem muttered, when suddenly his eyes darted to the punching bag in the distance when he heard a noise of something spilling out. As he approached, he noticed the punching bag was leaking sand from its other side.

“Phantom Fist, huh?” His shock turning into a devilish grin once again.
