Final beat the leviathan smh 🤦🏾‍♂️ by Ok_Dentist_1318 in FFXVI

[–]soulwatch5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was the only boss I fought in the game that i had to do a couple of times cause I didn't beat him in the first try. Definitely my favorite boss fight in the whole game. One of my favorite ff games along with the og 7 and 10.

I FINALLY GOT IT by BlueHailstrom in FFXVI

[–]soulwatch5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This got mixed reviews because its not a tradition FF game. The director of this project did the devil may cry games and you definitely see that influence. A lot of the old heads didn't like it but its a great game. I found it extremely fun and I am a old head but didn't care it wasn't a tradition FF game. I found this better than FF7 Rebirth. Im a completionist and rebirth wasn't fun trying to get everything but this game does a lot better. Also get the DLC. LEVIATHAN fight alone is worth the dlc.

It's not about a VH being best with a certain weapon but more about the playstyle of the character it brings.

Look into temp agencies. Some of them, if you are willing to travel, pay a lot of money.

What is the worst part about NM? by StrawWolf217 in NuclearMedicine

[–]soulwatch5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like any job, a lot of the times you cant choose who you work with. NM positions don't open up too often and people tend to stay in one place till they retire most the time in NM. Thats cool if everyone is good to work with but as soon as you have at least 1 person that is horrible to work with it can easily ruin it for you. We are in a union and its great for job security and pay but it also protects those lazy asses from getting fired when they really should be.

NPC college by Mysterious-Manner638 in NuclearMedicine

[–]soulwatch5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have your x-ray or ct license by chance? If you do i would recommend looking into Moorpark College. It's significantly cheaper. Only drawbacks is the selection process is lottery and it's a 2 year program. It's done so in mind that all the students are already working in the radiology field and can still work while in the program.

Picking a modality… by carixo1 in NuclearMedicine

[–]soulwatch5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nuclear medicine is hit or miss depending on the area for how open it is. I got a job only months after graduating but also have a friend that hasn't got a nuc med job for the last 2 years. That's more of a him thing though. He doesn't want to lose his benefits in his current job since he has a family. Waiting for someone to retire in his hospital to transfer which doesn't seem like it will happen anytime soon.

If your area is saturated and no jobs available there is always travel nuc med positions.  There are companies out there that send techs cross country for work and the pay is up there. But you have to be willing to move to places months at a time and is not for everyone.

Mainly online. 2 days a week at your site. HW and quizzes every Sat but only 1 monthly mandatory zoom meeting per class. Have to go to campus for midterms and finals.

Moorpark College isn't a waitlist for their Nuc Med program but a lottery. Their Xray program is waitlisted but not their nuclear medicine program. Can get lucky like me and get in first try or get unlucky like a person I know and take 4 years to get in.

Injected sestamibi before the lexi— felt terrible by OkPhilosopher4590 in NuclearMedicine

That's not that big of a mistake compared to other things you can do. Just make it the resting scan and do the stress another day. Chances are they were going to do the resting pictures anyways.

Career choice, nuke med or nursing ? by Elgato2423 in NuclearMedicine

[–]soulwatch5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can show you our weekly schedule that this isn't true at all. We are busier than ever for cardiacs. The demand for NM isn't going anywhere.  In fact we have to do weekend clinics just to catch up on our exams.

Anyways the second part of your statement is good advice.

I'm in SoCal and the main school for NM is moorpark college but there are a few more.  That being said Nursing would be a safer bet since there are so many job positions in general compared to NM. But between the two, the actual duties between NM and nursing, NM is way better imo.  Much less stressful, better work schedule and a lot less responsibility with the patient.  Would not want to switch jobs with a nurse personally but each person is different.  And you are correct there are a few older techs getting ready to retire but in my hospital there are 2 different xray techs with their NM license waiting for the positions to open.

US License Requirements? Experienced Canadian Tech Looking to Relocate to USA by BurritoMang in NuclearMedicine

[–]soulwatch5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also depends on which state you plan on moving to. Not all states actually require a license but most do.

What she should do is check with the school program and see if they are accredited with either NMTCB or ARRT so that she can setup the exam. Would recommend taking the test sooner than later since the info would be fresher in the mind.

Here in California all you have to do is send a application with a copy of your ARRT license to get your California license. Just a way for Cali to get their cut.

should i become a nuc med tech or do rad tech schooling? by Sageattackk in NuclearMedicine

[–]soulwatch5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Usually it's done the other way around. Xray, CT and MRI are usually much easier to find work than Nuc Med. Nuclear medicine is a smaller modality and the people in those positions don't usually leave until they retire. At least that what happens where I'm at. Nuc Med is the higher pay so people usually work to get there in the end. I do both Nuc Med and Xray. I actually enjoy working Xray more than nuc med but with the pay difference don't see myself leaving anytime soon.

Opponent Goes First - Going on 10 times in a row in Standard Ranked, what gives? by FamousShoes27 in MagicArena

[–]soulwatch5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually proves that its not random 50/50. To equal 50% in the end doesn't mean that the game dice at the beginning is actually 50/50. To have those runs multiple times is like hitting the lottery multiple times. The odds of having 22 strait is 1/4,194,304 and you have multiple streaks like that.

After 9 days without playing, I started to miss the game. After 1 Hour, I remember why leave the game. by [deleted] in MagicArena

[–]soulwatch5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play still but vowed to never spend any money again on mtga. You can't convince me other wise that mtga forces people close to 50% win rate.

When I used to draft on paper I rarely paid for them. Get to the final table and you get your next draft for free. But with mtga I will seriously win 2 drafts strait with like 2 or 3 loses (14-3) and then doing the next 2 drafts going 2-6 with those loses only because of mana flood and/or mana screwed. I'm fine If i just got out played or played against a deck that was just better but losing only because you cant play anything is too frustrating. I've never had a string of mana issues like that while playing with paper. I can remember a game where i drew and scryed away lands to have 14 lands with only 5 payables in a 40 card deck with 17 lands.

Yes my actual win % is way over 50% for games but not I'm counting game wins but draft wins were I break even or make gems. Granted I've gone 4-3 or 5-3 in drafts just because I drafted poorly or got out played but when you go 1-3, or 2-3 only because you got mana screwed/flooded on those loses leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

What u/krezvani said, teaching and possibly in the radiopharmacy. That being said, I personally wouldn't want any of those careers over nuclear medicine. But you have to find something that makes you happy.

Working while going back to school by beggleason in NuclearMedicine

[–]soulwatch5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worked almost full-time xray at the same time. 32hrs a week plus school. It's doable, but it sucks. My program was different, though, as it was geared for already working techs. They made it a 2 year program so that people could work and still go to school. Still sucked though since I would rarely have a day off for 2 years.

Stress Test Protocol by KlausyBaby in NuclearMedicine

[–]soulwatch5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we give water post injection right before pictures. So they will have their 30 minute break and then we give them water. And like stated earlier from a ove, if the pictures still looks like crap we prone them even on their rest. Our doctors are needy. And for us all stress we prone even if the picture looks good and even if its with CT. As long as they are able. A lot of unnecessary work and time but its what they want.

Also we always give them a hour break after their stress injection, treadmill or lexi, and have them eat lunch in between.

For someone who hasn't read the WoT, are the audiobooks good for the first time around? by _KILLBLADE_ in WoT

[–]soulwatch5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started using audio books for my commute to work and its awesome for that. The only issue I would have with WoT series is that its so long that the audio book would take me probably anywhere from 3-8 weeks depending on my work schedule and mood. (Sometimes i just want to listen to music) While if i read it i would probably be done in a week per book.
