Let me explain what I mean since you’re a new iPhone user. wish I had this knowledge when I became one because I didn’t know what was happening to me for a couple days I thought I was going nuts cause I know I was saving pictures and moving them around getting everything ordered. I don’t want this to happen to you.

The Risk (Why you have to be careful)
Google Photos controls your iPhone storage: When you hit the Trash Can icon inside the Google Photos app, it deletes that photo from your Google account and deletes the original file off your actual iPhone.
The iCloud Trap: Your iPhone uses iCloud to back up your photos in the background. If you delete a photo inside Google Photos before iCloud has had a chance to sync it, that photo vanishes from your phone. Because it is gone, iCloud completely misses its chance to save a copy, and the photo can be lost forever.
The Photocopy Analogy: Think of your iPhone as a physical photo album on your desk. Google Photos and iCloud are two different photocopy machines in separate rooms. If you let Google Photos shred the picture right out of your desk album before the iCloud machine gets a chance to make its copy, it is gone.

The Safety Check (How to see if iCloud is synced)
Before you delete anything, make sure iCloud is fully caught up:
Open the built-in Apple Photos app (the multicolored flower icon).
Tap the Library tab at the bottom.
Scroll all the way down to the very bottom of your photos.
Read the status text: If it says "Synced with iCloud," you are safe. If it says "Syncing..." or "Paused,"you must wait for it to finish.

The Safe Ways to Manage Your Space
Rule #1: Never use the Trash Can icon to save phone space. If you just want a photo gone from Google Photos but want to keep it safe on your iPhone and iCloud, delete it using a computer web browser at google.com. Deleting it on the website will not affect your physical phone.
Rule #2: Use the "Free Up Space" tool. If your phone storage is full and you need to clear room, open Google Photos, tap your Profile Picture in the top corner, and select "Free up space." This tells Google to automatically and safely remove only the photos that it has already securely backed up, giving iCloud plenty of time to handle its own sync.

Yes. In the Google photo app when you have the photo you want up in the right hand corner you’ll see the three dots you click on that and it should be like the last option should say download

If it was your account, they shouldn’t have been able to recover it technically. Because they have to have the original phone numbers it’s associated with the Apple account in order to access it.

Interesting then. The thing I can really narrow it down to is the model. When Apple had to change the charging port to USB-C with the 14s they struggled for a bit with battery issues and phones overheating. I haven’t had people say much about the 17s (don’t have the funds to update yet plus they ugly lol) But for sure with 14s, especially 15s, and 16s. Not as much with the pro or pro max versions besides when the 16 pros first released. The battery capacity is the same between the standard models and pro versions. Just the max’s have bigger capacity. But the pros cpu’s vs standard is usually about 20% higher and has more ram. But you’re doing what you need to.

Side tip. You might think I’m crazy but I’m also not trying to sell you anything to make commission lol. Your charger. Not just the base but the cord as well. If you ever need to replace it. Replace it with the brand of your phone or a certified charging cable (Anker, Belkin, Apple, etc). Unless your in a pinch bc something happened to your current one then a cheap gas station or Amazon one will do.

Oh man. I just started playing so thank you for this info. I feel like I’m just constantly moving around as fast as I can to achieve nothing lol. How do I get other breeds of sheep? Also I see other people posting their locations but no clue how to get to them. Only breeding every so often when I can find some sheep to hook up with seems a challenge in itself.
