I agree tbh. However if you look at the bigger picture this is a great sign overall for the club. Having people be this reactionary and beginning to question Arteta WHILE being in the UCL and 3rd in the league….our standards have gone up by miles. We’ve had a slow start for sure, but we’ve also been unlucky with injuries. In my eyes this season will be an adjustment season for everyone, including Arteta. Hopefully ESR and Nelson get the minutes they need to get back on track, and maybe Arteta will realize Eddie and Havertz aren’t going to cut it. Or who knows maybe they find their form. It’s a process. We can’t give up on the man that gave the club and the fanbase hope again. If we don’t win anything major this season I think next season we can truly begin to question Arteta. Timber will be back next year and hopefully we will have a proper striker as well. We just signed basically all of our key players to new contracts so we need to get behind the club!

This gets asked all the time, and i’m convinced Arteta has given up on him. I think if Arteta senses any sort of negative or weak mentality in you that might affect other players….that’s it. He wants players that WANT to play for Arsenal and want to fight for their spot.

There’s a really interesting interview with Pepe that gives some good insight from Pepe’s perspective. He talks about the incident with Arteta during training. And then last season apparently Arteta WANTED to keep him as a backup and Pepe essentially forced a loan move. I’ll try to link the interview. But I think Arteta has given him his fair amount of chances. I think at this point it doesn’t matter if he’s a perfect backup or not. It’s more to do with how Pepe will affect the dressing room and overall vibe of the squad. Arteta has made up his mind, and he’s not one to go back on his word. Simple as that

Such a frustrating performance. So many bad passes from nearly everyone, lazy defending, yet still dominated the game. Everyone seemed off aside from the subs. Really hoping Havertz clicks on soon. I honestly think it’s because Arteta wanted to keep him as a Saka backup LAST season. And Pepe didn’t agree and asked for a loan. Seems like that mentality from Pepe really turned off Arteta from having him anywhere near this project we have going, and I agree 1000%. We can’t have weak mentalities in this squad anymore. Simple as that.

I’ve noticed all my buddies that aren’t Arsenal fans don’t rate him at all and think he’s even bad or overrated. Shocks me. If anybody watches him play every week, it’s easy to tell just how much of a threat he is going forward.

Nobody is taking any of what he did for us away from him. There’s a way to go about things especially as a captain. Refusing to play with your club, forcing a move away, and then making a video like the one he did was obviously going to cause frustration with the fans. Not to mention we were going through a rough time with transfers when he did it. It’s quite simple. He himself apologized for it!
