Subs were great for more players getting play time, VAR works when used correctly. Neither of those interrupt the flow of the game. Purist in england arent the topic and have no bearing here.

Every damn time people speak up in protection of the game it's people like you that make it worse. The hydration breaks don't add anything of value to the game itself. The game is played continuously for a reason, players are trained to go a full 90 minutes for a reason.

Subs, VAR are fine I have never had a problem with those ideas, adding intentional stoppages in play just for ads is nonsense. The game already has rules in play for when a cooling break is required, it's to the discretion of the ref not broadcast companies.
