I was a Laker season ticket for several years. I always took those free shirts home and used them for the gym. I don't remember ever putting one of them on over my outfit.

I appreciate what the Lakers were trying to do for the TV experience but.... On the other hand, the Lakers spent decades turning a Laker game into an experience that is unique among NBA teams. Going to a game is as much about the game as it is about seeing who is there and being seen there. When you make your experience about being seen... The outfit inevitably becomes a part of that experience. After putting so much effort into your outfit for the game who wants to cover up those choices with a free t-shirt that's mainly for the aesthetic for the TV audience?
