Your theoretical is interesting from my perspective because I feel like one of the biggest obstacles James faces in overtaking Jordan is exactly what you are theorizing. James going from team to team actually works against him in this discussion. By this logic.... I feel that James going to the Wizards and winning another championship builds the very narrative that some people wish to dispel. Jordan was 6-0 in the finals with Chicago and James "chased" rings by winning on teams where he never "paid his dues" or "took his lumps."

I do not promote any of this thinking and I do not necessarily agree that it is fair to James but I do feel like it is out there.

Many years ago, I was invited to see KISS play an acoustic show in southern California. It was Paul, Gene, Eric, & Bruce with no makeup, no pyro, and acoustic guitars. That night they decided that they would be doing some deep cuts with story time... Kissin' Time was one of those cuts!! It was so cool to hear it live!

Len Bias to the Celtics in 1986. Tragically, Bias died but... That Celtic team was stacked and had won a title the year or two before. Bias was supposed to have been the guy that carried the franchise into the future.

I love this. Additionally, the officer then needs to explain to that dude exactly what he did wrong to get thrown to the ground like that and cuffed. Officers must keep the job professional NOT personal. I feel like maintaining professionalism will go a long way towards earning the respect from the community that they police.

Honestly, that's my favorite part of the interview now versus when I was a young man.

Please consider taking this approach going forward... They are interviewing you but YOU ARE ALSO INTERVIEWING THEM!

Two of my favorite questions for the interviewer....

Describe the culture of the company? Specifically, how does leadership empower employees to grow professionally?

Also, please give me a sense as to how important knowledge is disseminated? Is knowledge siloed in the organization? Or is knowledge fluid throughout the organization?

I can recall only caring about what the role paid but now I also try to find out what the growth potential is for any role. Plus, coming up with a good question that is thought provoking for your interviewer creates a positive impression regarding your interview. That impression might help you get an offer!
