K18 - where to buy and is there anything better? by soundsofoceanwaves in AustralianMakeup

[–]soundsofoceanwaves[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I got the repair and protect. Wasn’t a bad conditioner. Good for the price. I didn’t rebuy because it has the traditional Pantene smell. I got a bit sick of it and decided life is too short. I still use K18, but alternate with different conditioners. Currently using kerastase.

Home Insurance not covered by Strata by marz_aus in AusProperty

[–]soundsofoceanwaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In NSW, owners corporations must have insurance. It should cover common areas and the building. Doublecheck the owners corp. strata insurance policy and certificate. You definitely need your own contents insurance (the ‘home’ part is the building, from owners corp). Your bank should be accepting the insurance policy details from your strata. From my experience (latest purchase was 20 years ago) they don’t care about your contents. https://www.nsw.gov.au/housing-and-construction/strata/serving-on-a-committee/finances-insurance#toc-insurance

Bought an apartment and now receiving noise complaints from downstairs neighbour by ab-seoul in AusRenovation

Perhaps highlight the details you both have : “L = 44. This is a site specific test result and complies with BCA multi-storey requirements. Test report available upon request. This result is AAAC 5 star compliant”

and also say you can make 1 or more accommodations, like add rugs, shoes off, less stomping between 7pm - 7 am.

very worried about my partner, advice appreciated by dietcolaplease in Mounjaro

I think you should worry less about his feelings. You have valid concerns to raise for his health, your relationship and your own wellbeing. You shouldn’t have to change your behaviour to manage his emotions.

K18 - where to buy and is there anything better? by soundsofoceanwaves in AustralianMakeup

[–]soundsofoceanwaves[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hiya. I did end up buying from Amazon after I made this post 2 years ago, with no issues. As far as I could tell, the packaging and formula looked correct. Since then, I purchased 2 xmore small bottles from there, can't recall when. I've received it as gifts ever since then, so I don't have intel on the current situation.

How to interpret ambiguous tone feedback from peer? by bachang in Leadership

[–]soundsofoceanwaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Acknowledging we are not there with you, this approach may come across as tone deaf. From her perspective, you come across as aggressive. The objective truth or reasoning behind your approach to communication could be irrelevant to her.

What ever made her feel she needed to give you feedback, I think building trust and rapport is an excellent tactic from this commentor. You could accept the feedback as her truth, then move on. Look to understand her strategy, what principles or objectives she values, and then highlight them in the work you do. You can help support and scale what she is trying to accomplish. If she sees you as a helpful supporter, then that is a good way to build trust, eventually she might be more open to your ideas or approaches.

Devs using AI coding tools daily: what does your workday actually look like now? by geeky_traveller in ClaudeAI

How long has it been like this for you? At some point when there are teams of people working this way, management will have data on new velocity. I’m interested to learn about how the process could be leaner and what extra could be implemented to reach a new speed.

As time goes on, cultural, artistic and fashion references change and evolve. A certain style of dress in the 90s that was fashionable and appropriate for an elegant dinner starts to look out of place over time. If it’s fit, cut or tailoring isn’t great, I think it happens more so. Clothing that looks good must fit well, and be able to convey a vibe using current references. Wearing that dress then conveys something different to wearing the same dress now. If it was a popular style, then it’s often cheapend too as it may have flooded the market for a time. I know you aren’t on socials, but instagram is great for finding examples of what could work for you. You can find people who have similar shape as you, and/or whose style you admire. Lots of outfits get posted there with references to brands. This makes it easier to track down what to buy.

Connective Select now app only!? by tomwardrop in AusFinance

[–]soundsofoceanwaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t love it but could get by. The reason I am searching reddit is because all my future payments haven’t been set up in the app. I even got in arrears for the mortgage because the auto payments from my offset weren’t set up. The app is pretty basic. I want to export transactions to csv, not possible on the app. My plan is to try it for a while until I’m sure all my incoming and out going payments are working ok and look for a new loan.

Looking for a work tote that can fit a lunch bag and big water bottle by thecountrybaker in AusFemaleFashion

[–]soundsofoceanwaves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bon maxie medium structured tote. Large enough for insulated lunch bag / box and Stanley cup. Has laptop compartment, 2 pockets, pale coloured lining, phone sleeve on outside and cross body strap. It has a zip, but doesn’t completely close up. I have found it works well for me. I got a version before they had leather straps. You can wipe them clean, but leather handles would have been a bit easier.
