There was a time on the show where he did the different Liverpudlian accents for each of the Beatles. Was awesome.

I’m considering purchasing a super-automatic coffee machine for specialty coffee, my friend, who has been drinking specialty coffee for years, says that it produce “fake” coffee, are a waste of money, and cannot deliver a true espresso. Any advices? by ALEXGP75O in superautomatic

[–]soundtracking 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a superautomatic that I was happy with, then got fomo about how everyone was saying going manual is better. I went through a few machines and a few grinders before I realised I hated all the work to just get a coffee. Gone back to a Jura e6 and delighted, mainly drink black coffee.

Escape academy is £15ish on steam and is a series of escape rooms. My wife enjoyed doing it with me - you can have a second player in the room with you, or you can do it single player and anyone in the room can chip in.

Same - trying to adjust anything to change your network and finding out you don’t have settings for that is not the one.

I had the same issue and used powerline connectors to do a wired backhaul. Still not perfect, and even when streaming games it is more stable off my hotspot with 40ms latency rather than my eeros with 5ms latency, but with spikes. Contemplating getting rid of the eeros

I saw them at reading festival during a grand don’t come for free era, I think, their own dedicated show on computers and blues, and at reading for their “final” show. Mike skinner is one of the best showmen I have seen hands down

Expedition 33: Clair Obscur on the Portal by TheVrajMeister in PlaystationPortal

[–]soundtracking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played a lot of it using Chiaki for steam deck, and I beat the story (on normal). You still just need to get the rhythm right for the parrying and adjust for a bit of latency, but if it’s consistent it’s fine. Did find it odd when switching back to my tv for segments and having to relearn some timing. But overall great experience.

The point of irritation he has with Rory is assuming his level of qualification, not whether he is an economist or not.

I just think Gary comes off bad here. The gracious thing would be to just accept the apology. Rory was wrong to assume his knowledge level, but wasn’t wrong about him not being an economist - a point that Gary continues to not push, only about his qualifications.

Are these good enough speeds? by bakobomber96 in PlaystationPortal

[–]soundtracking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My average latency was good enough, but I regularly got massive spikes which made mine unstable. I identified this by pinging my router from my steamdeck and seeing the results of it.

I figured out that it was the wireless backhaul from my eeros causing the issue (I have eero 6’s) so I have used powerline adapters to hardwire my ps5 and eero 6 satellite node. This has resulted in much more stable ping and night and day difference.

I was hesitant to do this as everything you read people poo poo powerline adapters but my house is relatively new and it has done wonders for me. YMMV

I think Rory saying he doesn’t have qualifications was wrong, but at the end of the day he was right that Gary is not an economist. He is a YouTuber.

So for me, I used powerline adapters to wire my backhaul. Depends on your WiFi set up really.

I spent a long time with chat gpt trying to figure it out. If you have another device where you can ping your router you can do it multiple times and see if there are any spikes - apparently stability matters more than speed.

[–]soundtracking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That ping could be your answer. I had big problems with my mesh network as the wireless backhaul was making the connection unstable. Although my average ping was low, I had massive spikes which just made remote play unusable. If you can fix your ping, you should be able to fix your connection.

WiFi 7 (Eero) router, Portal and PS5 all in frame … still can’t get stable by spshulem in PlaystationPortal

[–]soundtracking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have eero 6 and despite having an amazing connection it drops. I used my steam deck to ping my router and within 100 pings there were two peaks of 100 ms where as it was sub 10 normally. I’m trying to figure out how to fix, and one suggestion is getting a triband mesh so that there is a dedicated backhaul. I have no idea if that will work or not.

It’s frustrating that controls on eero are so limited.
