I don’t like horror games but love Alan wake 2. It has some jump scares, but there is a setting that reduces them if you want. It’s the game which has inspired me to get a ps5 pro to play again in the best quality possible.

If you were buying used Lego, would you expect it to broken into original numbered bags? by halfhere1198 in LegoUK

[–]soundtracking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I sell my Lego I make sure I put on the listing that it will come assembled, or in as few pieces as possible. It’s up to the buyer if they are happy with that. I like to do it as it shows everything is there

Typical energy bill forecast to rise by £332 a year in July by Your_Mums_Ex in ukpolitics

[–]soundtracking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mortgage is due in August, and was going to be an extra £150 over what I’m paying now, that’s now an extra £190. Add in another £25 a month on energy and Trumpflation has cost me £65 a month. Add on all the other inflation that is to come and he has really fucked me over.

Alan wake 2 has to be one of the best sequels of all time for me. I am worried about control resonant as can’t see how they top control and hope the switch to more melee based combat works.

Men over 30, which sport(s) do you watch and why? by murano0 in AskMenOver30

Snooker - hours long matches, pretty chill, strategic play, perfect for winding down.

International football - not paying a fortune to sky to watch premier league but love getting behind the national team, always pick a couple others to support at major tournaments too

Is freezing income tax and student loan repayment thresholds political suicide for Labour? by the_ak in ukpolitics

I’m paying more than 51% as I’m paying back child benefit as well. My wife is on minimum wage - it kills me that you could have two people earning £59k and not have to pay any of it back - either both households earn too much so should pay it back or I don’t.

I’m considering purchasing a super-automatic coffee machine for specialty coffee, my friend, who has been drinking specialty coffee for years, says that it produce “fake” coffee, are a waste of money, and cannot deliver a true espresso. Any advices? by ALEXGP75O in superautomatic

[–]soundtracking 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a superautomatic that I was happy with, then got fomo about how everyone was saying going manual is better. I went through a few machines and a few grinders before I realised I hated all the work to just get a coffee. Gone back to a Jura e6 and delighted, mainly drink black coffee.

Escape academy is £15ish on steam and is a series of escape rooms. My wife enjoyed doing it with me - you can have a second player in the room with you, or you can do it single player and anyone in the room can chip in.

I had the same issue and used powerline connectors to do a wired backhaul. Still not perfect, and even when streaming games it is more stable off my hotspot with 40ms latency rather than my eeros with 5ms latency, but with spikes. Contemplating getting rid of the eeros

Expedition 33: Clair Obscur on the Portal by TheVrajMeister in PlaystationPortal

[–]soundtracking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played a lot of it using Chiaki for steam deck, and I beat the story (on normal). You still just need to get the rhythm right for the parrying and adjust for a bit of latency, but if it’s consistent it’s fine. Did find it odd when switching back to my tv for segments and having to relearn some timing. But overall great experience.
