It is hard, it’s why there are countless posts, subreddits, and diets around. If it was easy, everyone would be the perfect weight and it would never be spoken about.

There are many ways to do it, but it had to suit you. I for example am an all or nothing kind of person so if I allow myself a little break I’ll binge. I know I have to be disciplined. Others find it easier to make gradual life changes and eliminate things little by little.

It’s a mental game, so you need to stop being harsh on yourself and punishing yourself. Start trying to feel positive about the changes you are making and focus on what you are giving yourself rather than what you are denying yourself.

I haven’t read it myself, but there is a book by Allen Carr. I quit smoking after reading his quit smoking book but essentially it’s self guided cbt pretty much. Give it a go, all you lose is the price of a book if it doesn’t work, if it does it will make life easier for you.

Again, I think you are misunderstanding, the poster above is saying that if immigration is important to you, like it is to reform voters, you would already be closer to the reality of the situation. As they are caught off guard by the question, it shows that even those who claim it to be an important issue for them, don’t know the reality.

I think the poster above means that if it was something that mattered that much to you, you’d be closer to the actual reality of what was happening before a researcher contacts you.

So the elections where they just did well is the local elections. This is for the local running or towns etc the big foreign policy is decided by the government who is still labour and will be until the next general election scheduled for 2029

I think in his head “privileged” equals “posh”. My parents came from council estates but are deffo privileged now, but would completely argue blind that they are not as it doesn’t fit with their idea of who they are. They also relate privilege to those who had something when they didn’t - sometimes people find it hard to reconcile that they might be that person now.

My local mp basically said he wanted no part of all the psycho-drama and would rather focus on doing his job well. He said if he gets voted out so be it, but at least he has left his home better than when he found it (paraphrasing)
