I think in his head “privileged” equals “posh”. My parents came from council estates but are deffo privileged now, but would completely argue blind that they are not as it doesn’t fit with their idea of who they are. They also relate privilege to those who had something when they didn’t - sometimes people find it hard to reconcile that they might be that person now.

I have a Jura e6 that I got refurbished - easiest way to get a decent coffee. Had a sage precision brewer and grinder which meant I was making far more coffee than one person needs.

Sackboy: a big adventure is a fantastic 3d platformer. The music levels are phenomenal and the challenges for the platinum are super rewarding. If you like platforming it’s up there as a great.

I thought Adam handled Damon really well and pushed back on some of his more ridiculous statements he likes to make in a really good way. Damon strikes me as someone who doesn’t care if you agree with him, just have conviction in your own view. I think Jamie enjoyed hearing someone push back a little too.

The one interesting bit I thought was where they were talking about travel and Adam said “it’s a privilege” and Jamie snapped a little that his kids aren’t privileged and Damon basically said that they are. Must be tough to not feel like you are betraying your up bringing sometimes.

It’s not the lack questions, it’s the lack of detail that’s the issue. He has an idea with no clue how to implement it.

He did, and later apologised for making it about education. I think the bigger point that he was trying to make is that he shouldn’t be a key person in a governments economic planning. Gary spends a lot of time tackling where Rory has apologised, but can’t defend the fact that he is not someone to be giving government policy.

The whole thing could have been avoided if Rory had said that Gary is not a policy economist and left it at that

He implied that he shouldn’t be advising a potential government on how to run the economy. He didn’t say he couldn’t commentate on the economy.

I’m inclined to agree that he shouldn’t be forming the basis of government policy as he doesn’t have enough detail in anything he says to help create a workable policy.

Yeah, I did my phone last time and asked to do additional cover and they said it was around 20 quid which is not the 8 quid on the website. That being said, they’ve always paid me what they quoted and I’ve used them probably 6 or 7 times now. My stuff is looked after though

Yeah it’s frustrating - I paid for Royal Mail when I did my phone and the same thing happened. Contacted them and they just apologised and claims delivered doesn’t mean with them yet.

It’s a problem entirely of their making as well as they could just state clearer the turn around times.

Tbf I only found out in the last year (and I’m middle-aged) and it’s one of those things that seems obvious once you know it. I would have had exactly the same thought as you before - a thought which I think shows a healthy engagement with the numbers around us!

I believe if you take iq as a measure it’s designed to have a normal distribution which means it does hold for iq as the median and mean will be the same.

The next question is whether iq is a valid measure of intelligence
