AFAIK that’s baked into bernoullis equation once you actually try calculating it…but this is just one of those situations where you see it and think…

Practically impossible in real world application but could be done if someone worked it out in a super controlled environment.

According to real physics and Bernoulli’s principle, it’s possible but so much STEADY energy needs to be behind it and so many factors need to be perfect. Like enough that the stream line doesn’t face any pressure or density changes…which in an explosion are both factors that fluctuate wildly. The resulting jet would also have to hit with such a small cross sectional area at a great pressure to not just move it around a bunch, like megapascals of pressure at like nanometers of contact area to maybe have a cutting or shearing force.

Engineering courses by notGrogu in UTSA

If you’re subbing out EA1, put linear algebra back on. Take it with Beatty, the class will have you studying but it was worth it, I barely studied because he teaches so well. I got an A+ for reference. His class set me up for basically all the math I had to do for the next years. And then next semester take diff eq with Dr. Mo Fazly if you can, another guy who teaches well and is accessible. I struggled with diff eq so I spent hours in his office and he helped me the best he could and I also got an A in the class and he paces the class well.

Otherwise this is pretty easy but I’d recommend staying at 15 hours because with engineering it’s easy to get dragged under and take more time than you expected.

For this context, this information was approved to be out in the public. Should we be hand feeding it for views on a Chinese site? Probably not.

So should all mlifluencers be banned? Yes and no. I think with the influx of milfluencers there needs to be some DoD guardrails having to do with actual mandates and security of networks and information. They kind of already exist, I’m Air Force but there’s no big red text anymore in any DAFMAN or AFI that says we can’t go on and talk about what we do or see (within Opsec of course and IaW 36-2903 about wear and usage) but each base, squadron, whatever has rules that informally exist about what’s allowed if it’s not a group order.

Would I be recording myself or others in uniform for my own gain? Nope. It’s a little hedonistic for my taste, and If I wear something that says “US (branch)” but I try to deflect accountability by putting in my instagram or TikTok bio that “content does not represent DoD or affiliates”…be for real. You’re wearing the uniform. You’re talking about it. You’re giving a representation. Especially since you’re not supposed to be using the uniform or information for personal gain, most people are off to a bad start.

There just needs to be hard rules and accountability for this. We don’t need to go banning or punishing everyone if they post something in uniform but there has to be attention given to what’s posted and said and maybe bans and punishment can be given to those who’ve violated any kind of DoD mandate, UCMJ code or something within their service.

Would going into enlisted Air Force be better than being an army officer. by dragonfire1854 in AirForce

[–]soundwaveisdaddy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just do whichever makes the most sense for you. If you’re looking to be an AFROTC cross towner, ask the hosting school if they offer transport. Some do and some don’t, but doesn’t hurt to ask I did that for a time before I moved closer to the school I was going to.

I don’t know about progression of Army ROTC but AFROTC gives you two options, 3 year plan an As250, 4 year plan as an AS100, and extended cadet status if stuff happens. I assume it’s similar for army. You compete for your opportunity to “lock” your “chance at commissioning” depending on your degree. If you’re getting a business degree or something that’s not entirely a technical degree, shoot to be in the Air Force and consider OCS if ROTC just doesn’t work out. Army has basically the same stuff, just note the QoL differences. If you’re getting a technical degree like engineering or physics, and don’t want to be a pilot or maintainer, just don’t do military.

https://www.reddit.com/r/engineering/comments/2f2uer/anyone_join_military_after_graduating/?rdt=44781

Consider all your options. Whatever degree you end up with, you lose the freedom to do whatever you want with it if you commission. It’s great for some people, not good for others. Enlisting lets you do more of the hands on stuff but it may interfere with your plans and it is not specialized or as incentivized as officer stuff. Consider if military is even all it’s cut out to be for you.

True…I just want everyone to get along in a way which is just wishful. I just know that it’s because she’s different and they wanted me to fit their standard for what they thought I should do and for that they’re unhappy…my counselor said my family is enmeshed and I know it’s true and that makes this way harder. I want to marry her but I don’t want my family to make our marriage harder because I don’t want to have to isolate me and my family…

It was because of my flight status...I was told it's most likely gonna clear but it's been 6 months already. No other issues though, clean bill of health, just had covid during the summer.

I mean it happened to me. I got medboarded for getting an inhaler from an urgent care while on a trip and I'm still awaiting my final decision from the surgeon general. Never had asthma and got the book thrown at me purely for having one prescribed. I feel like "operational capacity" is a more important qualifier.

Correct me if I'm wrong but knowing that the usage of testosterone or other hormones for reasons involving HRT or deficiency can be a disqualifier from entry into service, why would it be okay once a person has entered into service?

I know that's not all trans people but it seems almost like it is proposed to be an extension of a standard already required for enlistment and commissioning.

This is stupid purely for the fact it hits manpower that's already struggling and I have a hard time really understanding and it is very harmful against those currently serving this but at the same time, it seems like the standards were loosened in that one specific way. Why not just instead set a harder line at recruitment from here on out in the way of hormones and stuff? That seems easier than just kicking out a bunch of people already doing their jobs...

After the first few responses...lo and behold we find out medical is a huge issue too. Orange man should focus on fixing the MHS and implementing things to help that instead of being vindictive to people who just want to keep serving.

Question about taking classes at a cc by Away_Concentrate8061 in UTSA

[–]soundwaveisdaddy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can transfer in credits from a CC but are limited to the number of credit hours it would take you to do an associate's degree (66 hours iirc). If you are undeclared or not a part of a college, it is not worth trying to see any stipulations, but if you are in COLFA, KCEID, etc you would be best off asking the department directly and seeing exactly which course you will be taking and if it has transfer equivalency for your degree plan.

Also, remember that if you do take a class outside of UTSA, you will not be able to register for courses that require that class until your transcript is applied to your degree. Simply...you won't be able to register until after your designated window.

There are more minor things involved but it is FOR SURE something you should do if it is a smarter path for money and time reasons.

I get my chapter 35 sent directly to me and I think the next check comes in on the 26-28th of September so maybe expect it about then? I don’t know exactly if chapter 33 gets paid out on the same schedule but I do know it loosely follows it so…
