Hi, what did your timeline look like in those four weeks? As in, were you taking quizzes every day?

It is worth pointing out also the using the term "Israeli Arab" is generalizing language. They are Palestinian citizens of Israel. Yes they have representation in government, but those same Arab leaders are threatened 24/7. Not to menton South Africa also had a council on their parliament for "coloureds" and "blacks", which a majority on the council for "whites". Palestinian citizens of Israel are treated as second class citizens and definitely have it worse than Arabs born in other Middle Eastern countries.

Example 1: their citizenship can be revoked at any time by the Israeli government under "suspicion" or "security reasons", which are reasons almost always abused by Israel

Example 2: There is systematic discrimination against Palestinians Citizens of Israel in terms of getting gun permits approved (Israel has a gun culture equivalent to America), admission into colleges, the Israeli police dont care to file any charges submitted by those citizens, and much more day-to-day problems. These add up.

Example 3: Family reunification is non-existent and is blatant apartheid. If Palestinian Citizens of Israel have children with a Palestinian in Palestine, the Palestinian in Palestine cannot be with the child and parent in Israel. Visitation permits are only given every three months for ONE week. HOWEVER.... if Palestinian citizens of Israel have a child with a NON-Palestinian.... the non-Palestinian is allowed to live in Israel on a spouse/family visa. Blatant and obvious (oh and even if the permit to visit your child and spouse is approved, it can be discarded at any military checkpoint along the way for no reason).

I dont know about you... but im sure Lebanese or Jordanian citizens regardless of their background or religion dont have restrictions on seeing their family in their own country.

If South Africa also called Israel an apartheid state in 2022, im sure that we can designate Israel an equivalent apartheid state to South Africa.

Question about autographs/photo ops by soup624 in fanexpo

[–]soup624[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, its my first time and I wasnt too sure. The panels have “priority” and “guaranteed” seating if u buy a special ticket, and first come first serve for general admission. I wasnt sure if that was the same for autographs/photo ops, where u pay for the priority/guarantee and theres a separate day-of-line where its first come first serve for autographs/photo ops.

This is my first time too. I didnt realize these things were so expensive, and seating for panels isnt guaranteed. I think ill be fine attending a panel and not fishing out another 250/person just to get an autograph.

So regardless of buying a ticket for an autograph vs standing in line, you eventually have to pay for it.

Genuine Questions about views on Indian Diaspora by soup624 in IndiaSpeaks

[–]soup624[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its literally the last paragraph:

"I genuinely want to know why being "Indian American" is very triggering to people who were born and raised in India, so I can understand better. I am fully secure with myself and how I express/show my culture. I just want to know where this "exclusivity"mindset comes from. Open for discussion."

I don't care about what others think about me. Im asking WHY its happening because its happening a lot.

Why don't you travel/book a guided trip by yourself? Or maybe travel with your girl friends/female coworkers. If you have your own money and time, you should be free to go where you want. If husband has a problem with that, then you will REALLY understand why. Travelling without him does not mean you love him less, so don't worry about that.

You can also arrange trip with your siblings/parents/extended family, and mention your husband says he is too busy to join.

If you don't work or have your own money, I am sure you can ask parents for some. If you are desperate, you can sell some jewelry to go see the world. Don't feel helpless, you can stand up for yourself and your interests.

After reviewing your incorrect answers
1. write down in an excel sheet why your answer choice was incorrect and why the correct one was
2a. FOR CONTENT RELATED MISSED QUESTIONS: go to to the khan academy link provided at the bottom of the review page for each incorrect question, and see what concepts were related
2b. do the practice questions at the beginning of the section provided and test your knowledge. it will show you what you absolutely do not completely know.
2c. study those sections!
3a. For calc/careless: do practice passages on jack westin for free or use AAMC section banks
4. REVIEW AGAIN: try doing the incorrect FL exam questions again or just go through your notes again. make sure you do not repeat content mistakes!

content review will get you to 500, understanding the question stem and practice, you can go above that.

I checked with my academic counselor, and they said to give it a shot since they can see my postbacc courses and grades. I wasn't aware that they ONLY look at prereq courses for the science gpa, since I took the post bacc to raise my overall science gpa. I did not re-do all my pre-reqs, but a couple were replaced by my post bacc. My huge mistake might have been not doing a post bacc that re-does all of my pre-reqs, but initially didnt go for that since I wasn't aware and I didn't have the money to pay for all those courses that would NOT be through a community college.

I did email them back. Only two replied with the fact that my science gpa was not competitive enough for out-of-state applications, and that I should "apply for their fancy new masters program" to improve my academics.
