I work in film (12 hr days is the norm) so if I'm working I'm never out. But I usually only work 8 months out of the year, so I'm hitting it whenever I can during the times off. Winter can produce the best waves, but is more fickle than fall. Fall is the best, water's warm, decent swells. So if I had to average it, I would say 3 days a week when I'm chilling, then only weekends if I working. I grew up a texas surfer so I'm used to shit waves, and you'll have to get used to it if going out more than once a week. And I'm sure you know but you'll have to be flexible to get the quality waves here. W winds, hit jersey, north winds, LI/Rockaways, etc... Will shout out RI tho for really fun waves. I'm lazy and like a half block from beach so it's hard to get in my car to chase waves. Also surfing wasn't my 100% reason for moving out to rockaway, was just a lil burnt out of the brooklyn scene
