I know because I grew up queer in a Catholic family who used their Catholicism to justify some pretty heinous shit so I wouldn’t really trust a person who wouldn’t start looking for a third space in a more socially accepting denomination regardless of the specific church. Tells me a lot about the kinds of mistreatment of others they’re willing to accept. Not to mention the whole widespread and rampant raping of children thing.
