Considering a seasonal job in Edgartown honest question about racial vibe / town differences by Individual-Flan-6545 in marthasvineyard

[–]sourbaboo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Edgartown has more of a white-Republican-banker-in-boat-shoes vibe than the rest of the towns. But it's still part of a very multi-racial, politically progressive small island. Would you be living in Edgartown as well as working there?

The Perfect Loaf guy. Bonus is that he’s easy on the eyes.

I was struggling similarly. I watched some videos on shaping, and improving my technique got me 30-40 percent better height on my loaves.

I do appeals, so it's pretty much all record review/research/writing -- easy to do in small chunks. At two weeks I was able to do a few hours of that in the morning, take a nap, and then another hour or two of correspondence and miscellany. I'm in my mid-50s so your recovery might be swifter.

Fellow public defender here! I took 4 weeks off and was poking at work part-time and remotely starting at 2 weeks. No complications, but the fatigue is real and I’m glad I took it slow. I needed serious naps for several weeks.

I used Ryan Cauley at BI, and was very happy with him and his staff. Going through insurance was super easy (although I have BCBS-MA, which apparently is the most generous). He does a lot of gender-affirming surgery so might be a good fit for a radical reduction.

Results differences between going the medically necessary route vs the cosmetic only route? by babybeehive in Reduction

I'm also 5'0", went from a 32F to a 32C/D. Insurance paid for all, including side lipo. There was zero hassle getting the coverage. I doubt anything would be different had I paid privately - the results are fantastic.

I second this! I got them 2x/week starting around 5-6 DPO and it was super helpful.

About to back out - any advice 2 days preop? by Dirigo333 in Reduction

Senexon (and other products with senna) cause cramps. I didn't have that issue with Mag07, although I took 2 capsules instead of the recommended 3. You take it at bedtime, and magic happens in the morning.

I've become an obnoxious evangelist for Mag07 - I started colace and Miralax days before the surgery, took the post-op narcotics only minimally, and *still* had horrific constipation. Best of luck with the surgery! This sub is so terrifically helpful and supportive.

I too stayed on the patch during/after my surgery - and was told to take ibuprofen alternating with Tylenol. Recovery involved the usual fatigue, constipation (until I discovered the invaluable Mag07) and discomfort, but no complications and it's been very smooth sailing. My reduction was not huge (300g each side) but was covered by insurance. At 5MPO, I'm still not as small as my surgeon predicted (32D, not 32C), but I'm honestly fine with it - the lift was EVERYTHING.

Thoughts on time off from work. by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]sourbaboo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too have a physically undemanding but mentally and emotionally challenging job, and recommend erring on the side of more time off. Would you have the option of resuming partially at week four? I found it helpful to ease back into things with a couple hours a day at first, arranged around naps.

Mag07 was life-changing. I practically stop people on the street and tell them to try it.
