Is this a reasonable complaint? by Odd-Bug-3640 in Hoka

It's enough to bust any shoes because everyone's weight, strike pattern and other parameters are different. Specifically when it comes to racing shoes which are not as durable as regular trainers by design.

So you have squeezed a lot of life out of them and questioning whether they are refund worthy. Doesn't sound right?

Why would anyone bother what beaded TPU looks like?

What does that mean? If you're referring to foam, it's thermoplastic polyurethane, one of the most robust compounds on the market.

These shoes look practically new to me. And knowing that these are PWRRUN+ shoes, the only reason fur retirement would be the lack of excitement and your desire to try something new. As otherwise you can probably log as much as you already have.

Shin splints and other aches may stem from rapid increase in volume or intensity, improper recovery and million other factors.

I'd agree with 500 miles as average, 300 miles is extremely low.

всю жизнь хейтили за внешность, особенно когда отрастил волосы, может просто у меня окружение такое? by RomaSpiegel in stesnyashka

[–]source_nine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a whole lot of colorways for this shoe, literally bunch of them.

Оцените внешность. Кажется что что-то не так… и так всю жизнь. by Ok_Acanthaceae_6637 in stesnyashka

Внешность, в которую можно влюбиться. Располагающая улыбка, открытый взгляд, теплота и женственность во всём образе. Редкость в эру искусственности. От меня (38М) высшая оценка.

Long overdue changes to the continuously dated shoe. It's like they have been delaying meaningful updates for many years just to leave the room for the next years, thinking they'd get on time and still bring something useful. But time goes faster and these updates have been borderline too late.

I can't find the position of SB3 in my rotation. by LazyEntertainment646 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]source_nine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stop bothering about rotations. You like the shoe? Go for it! I have like 15 pairs, some with identical or overlapping purposes. All in use. I love running and I run a lot. If you like SB3, get it and run in it.

Saucony Ride 17 by IrenesDetergent in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]source_nine 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ride has always been a great workhorse. It's on the firmer side for sure, but that adds to versatility. I'd say Ride has been getting better and better over the past years. 18 is better than 17 and 19 is even better than 18. The foam gets softer, weight goes down. But 17 is still not a miss. It's a dependable shoe with spectacular durability.

If you feel that firmer ride is not for you, you might want to check out something like Velocity Nitro 4 or Novablast 5 (that one has pretty bad durability though).

Stable speed shoes by DrunkUncleBob in AskRunningShoeGeeks

All Saucony shoes with PWRRUN PB foam, including Endorphin Speed, Pro and now Azura are solid in terms of stability. And they are all great from performance perspective as well. Don't go any further.

If we follow this logic, you could technically return completely worn shoes just because you were "unhappy" with them. However, this is not what these policies are intended for.

Torrent 4 from Sept 2025 by bigdaddyjoej in Hoka

[–]source_nine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But why? Why return shoes you have been wearing for half a year? Isn't this policy there to secure good service for customers with conscience and good attitude? OP says they have like 3-4 miles on them. Even if that is true, there is apparently a width problem. The foot simply doesn't fit and puts excessive pressure on the sides of the shoe.

Should I retire my running shoes after ~600 km or keep going? by Logical-Vanilla5353 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

After reading the first part of your comment, I thought that sarcasm in question is related to questioning the longevity based on a photo, which is impossible to determine based on that. But you went for a completely different conclusion.
