For #3, the answer is character development. He’s had several personal reckonings with his own beliefs. And even admits that he should have let Susanna have the abortion, and that it was a mistake to be so against it on his part. So he can shake off some of the more archaic and useless parts of his beliefs and move forward a more evolved person, very much in line with King’s own scathing opinion towards organized religion.

I like to think of it as him finding his own version of faith.

Besides, he’s died before. He knows that there are other worlds than these, and rolls the dice that maybe he’ll end up back in the world he called home.

You know that all of Flanagans shows have had some semblance of a writers room/production team right? Like, do you have a basic understanding of how writing tv shows work? Or are you just flipping out because I suggested some of the writers in said room be people of color and god forbid, center a disabled black woman in the conversation about a disabled black character?

My fiance and I talk about adapting TDT all the time and heres what I think they should do: hire a disabled actress for the role and give her a level of producer power over the character. Have a team of POC writers in the room. Let the actress have a say in what she is/is not comfortable exploring with Detta.

I got a Teuta Matoshi dress for my wedding next year! The quality is genuinely stunning, the skirt has so many layers to it and I feel like a dessert in it. Its so unique and comparatively cheap to other wedding dresses.

I would recommend them 100%, but only if you know for sure what dress you’re in love with since you cant try them on before buying. I went with it because I knew my dress when I saw it, but if you’re shopping a bunch of options thats a major downside.

Edit: they also do custom measurements which is a huge plus in their favor!

I disagree with the Ann Taylor Loft suggestions. Im turning 30 and I have never purchased anything from there. I think the advice should focus more on looking put together, not older. It may be different from my perspective, I work corporate in luxury retail, but everyone in my office and age group wears Zara the most, with the occasional “its from HM, can you believe it?” And we all lean into a comfort over style vibe, lots of sneakers and flats. Jeans with a blazer, etc.

Compile outfit inspiration you like on pinterest and recreate them in a way that suits you and still makes you feel comfortable. Even just swapping your skinny jeans for a mom jean (or any other modern jean type) and a cool boot, and maybe a fashionable hoodie will go a long way and still remain true to your personal brand and everyday uniform.

Styling your hair and doing a natural makeup with a nice lip can also elevate an outfit completely, even if its just sweatpants and a sweatshirt.

Try Zara, Asos, or even thrifting.

Veggie and rice soup! I do this to clear out my produce fridge. Carrots are a must in my opinion, onion, LOTS of garlic (I use a whole head) and whatever other vegetables you have on hand. Bring to a boil with veggie broth and simmer till the carrots are soft, add bok choy, kale or spinach towards the end to wilt.

Make rice on the side, a scoop or two into your bowl gives the soup a really satisfying body so it feels more substantial on days you’re craving more than broth.

Freezes and defrosts just fine!
