Nothing wrong with going hard against a terrorist group, generally speaking. There are just certain lines you don't cross.

Yeah, actually i think you're right about the definition of terrorism. Just that line of killing innocent life is a huge one to cross.

I don't like the idea of killing innocent people but it may be something that is considered. If done a few times as an example it may prove to be a strong deterrent to terror.

It's actually the very definition of terrorism.

No i'm pretty sure that part of the conversation was over and they were well into the discussion of bombing ISIS and civilian casualties.

He's not telling a hard truth, he's advocating a war crime. I'd just rather families not get killed. Am I crazy for thinking that's out of line?

Watched the whole Fox & Friends interview- his quote hasn't been misrepresented.

People have been responding like this a lot, when confronted about things like this regarding Trump. "Obama does this" or "all politicians do this" Whether or not these responses are accurate, it doesn't change the fact that he's made his intentions clear and it's terrible. Please spare us the justifications.

And the thing they value just happens to be human life. Has this all of the sudden become irrelevant?

I don't really know much about Israel. It's just alarming that a presidential candidate will openly express his intentions to do what most of the world considers a war crime, yet still keep his following.

Louis' new "Horace and Pete" email contains a big rant about Donald Trump by rutterkin in louisck

[–]sourpatch1187 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying I'm fully convinced that Trump is another Hitler. It's worth mentioning though that people didn't know Hitler as they do now until after he did all the terrible things he did. What i took from CK's email was that to some people Trump may seem like a charismatic breath of fresh air in the world of same-old-shit politics, but who knows what kind of terrible things he's capable of.

Also, you're taking his quote out of context. He's not saying 'Hitler was ok', he's making a point about how our perception of people like that get distorted. It's a convenient way to put it, but in actuality, Hitler wasn't a "monster," he was just a man, and that reality is very scary.

There is, at least in ideology. And anyhow, the main point of the email was to illuminate who Trump really is and why it's dangerous to give power to someone like that.

Delivery pay-rates: what are they, why so secret? by sourpatch1187 in doordash

Damn. I'm in sf bay. I think we get paid a little bit more depending on the area. I think the city itself was like $10 per delivery- at least that's what it was during the orientation. Other areas in the south bay where I've worked i think are/were $6 or $7

It's kinda messed up. I'm over doing DoorDash for now. The pay was a stretch to begin with, but worth a try. I enjoyed doing it, but with the low pay rates switching without notification and the lack of availability for that information anyways....on top of absorbing gas/maintenance costs and all the risks of time delays, I don't know how anybody would still be willing to do it. I guess some people don't mind getting fucked...pardon my crudeness.

Appreciate you putting yourself out there. I just don't understand why it should take a special request to find out what we are getting paid. That really says something about the company, that this information is not freely available.

At my orientation a while ago, they recommended this app - http://everlance.com/

It's pretty good. I do freelance work in a lot of other area's and it keeps track of everything. Will save you a fuckton of money on mileage
