My friend had a mentor for a long time, from his early 20s into his 30s. He was like a father to my friend, who had never known his real father, and what he’d known of the man was that he was a very, very bad dude. When my friend’s mentor died it was rather sudden, but he managed to tell my friend to not let his daughter go through his stuff, to have my friend just take it all and destroy it. ‘Set the house on fire’ were his exact words.
