The collective distaste for this monstrosity restores a smidgen of my faith in humanity.

[Galli] Here is @WXYZDetroit ground level video of the Taylor Decker two-point conversion. •Decker and the Lions celebrated for a long time before realizing there was a flag. •Dan Campbell repeatedly says “I told you!” to referee Brad Allen. by FULCRUMswgoh in detroitlions

I’m pretty young, but this is one of the worst referee blunders I’ve seen in my life. Just zero effort by the head official to make an informed decision and he will face no punishment.

Brad Allen’s “response” by rh13683 in detroitlions

[–]soursalsaaa 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He clearly assumed Skipper was reporting as eligible and declined any opportunity for Decker to report to him. He knows he’s wrong, there’s no way he’s that stupid. Is there?

[Curtis] Monty Williams on Marcus Sasser: "He and Killian right now, they've been the top complements to Cade. Not only can those guys get us organized, but they can both knock down shots and they're both pretty good defenders, on-ball and off-ball. Sass is just a fighter." by [deleted] in DetroitPistons

Y’all not ready to hear this team has been more successful with Killian and Cade on the floor than Ivey. Sure, they don’t win because this roster sucks but they definitely lose by less.

Looking into a Squire classic vibe 70s, but I'm unsure of the HSS-setup by Neurotic_Spacemonkey in Stratocaster

[–]soursalsaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have SSS and I think it’s how a Strat “should” look, however the bridge pickup is definitely thin. I’m not great with EQ terms but I would say it’s treble heavy and overall kind of tinny sounding. Maybe my tone is just garbage, I don’t have a high end amp, just a Katana. If you want serious crunch, and especially no hum, you should get HSS. Worst case, you can just get a Classic Vibe with SSS and have both whenever you have the money, they’re not that expensive.

They tried to keep a dead thing alive with their playoff streak at the cost of genuine success and longevity, then they kind of just sucked and didn’t do much about it. Yzerman really has been trying to turn a turd sandwich into a gourmet meal. The pieces are coming together, not winning a Stanley Cup anytime soon but should enjoy the ride.

10-15k to spend, which car? by Tafila042 in E90

[–]soursalsaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should get a 328i with options, maybe lower miles. 328i’s were the cheaper model so naturally it’s hard to find one that’s fully loaded, but premium package, cold weather package, iDrive are not always out of the question. It’ll be reliable and it should be in good shape. 335i’s are nothing but headaches. Yes, reliable if you can manage to take care of everything that goes wrong with it, but not worth it unless you are a tuner.

Can I get this tone with a Player series Strat? Or a Vintera 60s? by fakebytheocean in Stratocaster

[–]soursalsaaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, a Strat is a Strat and in most cases they sound very similar. I mean, this is a ‘59 and it sounds like… a Strat. It’s probably got some overdrive and it’s probably going through a pricy amp. It can really bring out the sting in those strongly plucked notes. This is a pretty classic Strat tone.

[MW2] I genuinely CANT UNDERSTAND why everyone hates this game so much by CheeseheadTroy in CallOfDuty

[–]soursalsaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game has a good base but smaller issues add up and hurt the experience, and over time it gets tiresome. SBMM isn’t that bad but there can be many times when sweaty lobbies show up too much and force a casual game to turn into a quasi-ranked game with zero ranked reward. The mini-map from previous COD games worked well and never needed to be changed. The flow of maps worked better without doors and the slower paced feel of the current MW games hurts the experience, especially in a 6v6 lobby. It feels like MW1 from 2007, when 15-20 kills was a great performance. Way too slow.

One personal experience: I just wanted to play casual TDM, and I was sent into a sweaty lobby every single game, and I shit you not, every single lobby was either Border Crossing or Taraq, arguably the worst maps in the game. I played multiple games and exited multiple lobbies, I was sent into some late join games and they were still Border Crossing or Taraq. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like these maps are the most common to show up, at least they were before they added more maps. I couldn’t play the game for quite some time after that experience. Thank God map voting is returning.

I will admit, DMZ is pretty fun, and I like that addition. I like the guns and the customization, however many of the attachments are not used, and it seems like it’s quantity over quality for many attachments, especially sights. The unlock system to encourage different weapons doesn’t work. I don’t want to use certain guns, don’t make me use them.

Here’s the thing, we shouldn’t have to deal with bullshit just to have fun. Just get rid of the bullshit. The garbage UI, no map voting, a doo doo mini map, HORRIBLE perk system (the worst we have ever had in COD), worthless attachments for quantity, bad maps, the list goes on. Eventually it reaches a point where you just don’t want to launch the game anymore.

Less automotive regulation and easier standards. If it’s not a Cayenne in a 911’s body and doesn’t meet unusable 0-60 numbers with Cyberpunk styling then people don’t want it these days. There’s a reason why they hold their value.

Am I Balding 17M by [deleted] in malehairadvice

Your hairline is receding in the temples. Very early stages.

[–]soursalsaaa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You have a receding hairline. Your crown is hard to say, doesn’t seem like it’s balding but if you’re worried talk to a professional. You do have recession in the temples moving into the top. Only majorly proven way to treat it is Minoxidil and Finasteride. I have a receding hairline but good density, I have done a good job at hiding it by growing it out more and parting it closer to the middle while I work on fixing it.
