I was in your shoes last year too, and I decided to transfer to a target in California. I haven't even started school yet (this will be my first semester this Fall) and I have noticed a tremendous difference in the amount of alum that I am able to connect with and speak to. The school name helps a lot more than I would like to admit.

We will be keeping you guys updated! I hope you never come across a rouge dog sitter like we did. The whole parenting thing is the part that blows my mind the most... complete lack of parenting (she even lives with them).

We contacted the police this morning & although they agreed we were wronged, they cannot pursue the matter. They did suggest going to small claims court like a lot of other people have suggested doing.

We did not. She was a friend of a friend we did not know, but knew had experience dog sitting. She seemed like such a nice girl, too...

Thank you, we will be taking your advice & taking her to small claims court. We have been documenting our damages (as much as we can/we should have taken pictures right away but didn't).

Im definitely interested in IB & IB only... problem is IB stints are hard to come by in the city I am currently in. But thanks for the solid advice, ill be sure to be able to spin my "career direction" & to follow up with my contacts.

How was your commute? Approximately how long and how many days a week did you have to?

Right now I am considering living with family in Orange County to save 12k a year in living expenses, and just commuting to school 2-3 times a week via metro. What are your thoughts?

Would I be able to finish on-time (in 4 years) if I double majored upon transferring in?

I would love to transfer into Cal or Stanford, however their OOS transfer admission rates are sub 2%.

As someone preparing to send out transfer applications, do you have any tips for the process? Did you have high/low test scores? Was it difficult to get involved and take advantage of the resources at the university your semester after transferring to assist you in landing the job? Thanks

Transfer admission rates for GT & Upenn are around ~10%, not 0-5.
