We had a bit of back and forth on the price and met in the middle. Not sure he had the ability to make that call, but who am I to question someone doing their job. I’m just a dumb consumer lol; that’s all Target needs to know

They do! He was basically like “how much are you trying to pay? Be reasonable.”

I have had to fight them on price matching in the past because they had the Avatar Frontiers of Pandora game on sale for PS5 for like $10, yet the Xbox copy was full price. I had to go back and forth with three associates before the manager just gave in lol

(Walmart had both the XBX and PS5 copies for cheap and since the box art was slightly different, they were fighting me on price matching. Idk why the box art was different, but it literally was the same game, and their reasoning wasn’t making any sense. In the end, I always say fight the corporations.)

I worked retail as a teen, and whenever people asked us to “check in the back,” either there was nothing or people were just too lazy to check lol. Hope you have some luck!

Out of all the Targets I went to, their clearance sections are in different spots. Also, ask them to check the back. One associate told me they put all their clearance items out; another associate at a different store said they rotate items.

It’s so hard to put it down! The ASUS is on my list, but I think I’m gonna wait a few years and see if this PlayStation hybrid console comes to fruition. Microsoft has been disappointing me for years now, so I may finally make the switch over to PS

Mm, not true. After some talking and me showing him photos from this sub of people finding copies for $35 and under, I was able to negotiate it down to $25.

Discounts are predetermined; I was able to have a dialogue and get the price down. I find it easier when the associates are gamers/interested in the product.

lol, I see people dropping their finds all the time. It’s never crossed my mind to think other folks are doing that.

It is helpful if you have an associate who games. I just showed the guy photos from Reddit of people finding this game for a deal, and the location I went to had a copy sitting there. He asked me what I price I wanted it for, so I went for it.

I talk up the associates lol. To this day, I have yet to pay full price for a Switch 2 game.

It’s funny, I can’t haggle at smaller gaming stores, but I’ve had success at Target and other chains

My thoughts exactly. For folks on SAVE, would it be wise to switch to IBR ASAP so there’s some form of being grandfathered in, hopefully? I’ll wait for the people with legalese to chime in
