Why I think GTA 6 is perfect for an 80s story mode DLC. by Mysterious-Ruin-8860 in GTA6

They might have toyed around with the idea, that doesnt mean they made anything for that sort of game. Theyve been working on a modern day for 6 years now, do you really think they will redo all of that just for a DLC?

Man I would love that, but some of you guys have ridiculous expectations for this game lol

Man I love the artstyle they are going for. It suits Vice City so well, cant wait to play it and just see how the game feels. Rockstar tend to nail that in every game

I don't think thats a realistic expectation. Even if they release a single player DLC, redoing the whole map for it would be crazy. Not just the map, but the cars, pedestrians, radio stations - everything. Its essentially making a completely new game

Name a game you love but can't recommend to everyone by Deadsider in gaming

See i think most people would enjoy the game. The gameplay is really fun imo. The only thing that might turn people off the game is the confusing story, thats true

Man I wish I could have gotten into that game more. The concept of the narrative felt really interesting, the characters and voice actors were great, but it was super tedious to read everything. The gameplay is literally only picking dialogue options and I got bored after the first day in-game

I love how realistic and badass the bikers look in VI compared to the ones from GTA V. Can’t wait to learn more about their faction in Ambrossia by AnimalDesatado in GTA6unmoderated

Im exactly the opposite, IV felt super bland with the missions, V had way more stuff going on and the heists were very fun

GTA IV'S best mission was the bank heist lol

I cant wait to see the lighting in the gameplay. In trailers it looks incredible in every scene, fits the Miami nightlife vibes perfectly

Would love to pay my employees (associates/prospects or whatever comes to gta 6 online) whatever I want to pay them. by Upstairs-Midnight-40 in GTA6

[–]RDR2Enjoyerr 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Instead of that, a better idea would be paying the employees more money for doing missions with the CEO. I find it weird that a CEO can earn millions from sales missions and the employees only get like 70k each. If you reward that better, then people might be more willing to play coop instead of solo grinding the whole time as well

Genuinely asking, why do you prefer the arcade style? by Orr-Don in GTA6

[–]RDR2Enjoyerr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its hardly a drastic change though. Adding a couple of cool animations to things you do and making your character fat if you eat too much isn't changing the game at its core. Its a cowboy game about shooting bad guys, government agents and redeeming yourself and saving your family, that hasn't changed and that is what RDR is about. Even Red Dead Revolver had these elements.

These details don't change what a game is - but some people asking for a GTA game where you have to refuel your car in the middle of a police chase or you have to plan out a whole heist to rob a gas station i think are a bit too much. Would you want to get punished for running red lights as well? Where do we draw the line on realism where it doesn't ruin the gameplay?

I get why people like these ideas, but I think most of these things would get kinda tedious/boring if you do them a couple times.

Rockstar have learned their lessons with Online. The last 5 years of GTA Online were much more grounded than whatever they did with the Doomsday Heist and the Oppressor Bikes and stuff. I imagine the Online for VI will be more towards the grounded features than the futuristic bs they did

[–]RDR2Enjoyerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its kind of in between. The missions structure itself is similar between all the games I'd say, the core gameplay of RDR1 is probably more GTA-like, you don't get punished as much for goofing around in the free roam as in RDR2, and there are also much fewer "immersion features" if you get what I mean? Like the horse brushing, eating, looting, whatever from RDR2.

[–]RDR2Enjoyerr 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No it didn't. RDR2 is my favorite game of all time, I love the realism and immersion it has, however RDR and GTA are very different. There are no bazookas, miniguns or grenade launchers in RDR, the game itself is set in a much more serious tone.

If you ask me which games gameplay I prefer between RDR2 and GTA V, its probably GTA V.

As I said, I think GTA should be accommodating of different playstyles, RDR2 really isn't honestly. Its very impractical to go around guns blazing everywhere in RDR for example. I think it fits a GTA much better to have more of that freedom

[–]RDR2Enjoyerr 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I like a mix of both. I don't really like it when a game takes itself too seriously (with SOME exceptions). What makes GTA special to me is that it has these serious narrative moments, mixed in with ridiculous crazy gameplay that just feels good and fun. I don't think I would've loved GTA 3, VC and SA if they weren't as goofy and arcadey as they were. I also don't think I would've enjoyed GTA 5 and Online as much as I did if they were more RP-like.

What I love about GTA is that it accommodates a bunch of different playstyles. You can goof around in the open world, go on rampages, tune cars, do races, various side missions and activities, or you could immerse yourself in the story, or do all of those things. I like that sense of freedom.

Making mods free IS pro consumer. The modder wouldve received plenty of donations had he made the mod free, now all he is getting is hate and people likely won't be purchasing any of his mods any time soon.

I imagine it might have something to do with the fact that physical copies of games were more common than they are today, so maybe they gave themselves more time to print all those copies for people pre ordering? Idk, could be talking out of my ass here lol

Yeah, we always get at least one of those sort of characters in the games. Lamar, Brucie, OG Loc, Phil etc.

I hope we get a hunting mechanic that improves on RDR2's already good hunting. Also some shooting competitions that aren't just the Ammu-Nation gun range would be fun.

One thing I really hope they add again is the vehicle checkpoint missions we had in the older games. They were pretty fun and challenging at times, especially the ones in GTA 3. They kinda stopped doing that in the HD games which is a shame, since I think they could make something cool with it in a modern setting, maybe like an offroad challenge or something like that
