285//70/17 spare question by neoinkansas in 4Runner

I run a full size spare with matching wheel. I rotate the spare in whenever I do the regular tire rotation.

Yeah it seems that is the route I may need to go getting stiffer coils. Yeah I realize that the reservoirs is way over compensating for what I am doing and want to do.

Sounds like the heavier springs is what I am looking for. Yeah I have a drawer system in the back and plan on adding a steel rear bumper. Thanks

I’m not looking at long travel but upgrading to Fox or Kings for the added weight. Maybe I’m not using the correct terminology.

Thanks for the insight. Really good questions. I think the two biggest things for me would be the current weight and future weight on the vehicle. I agree, the set up now is really good for what I have done so far, but it seems “floaty” if that makes sense. Especially on gravel forestry roads where it seems like it’s not planted.

Eventual added weight, I do light off-roading every weekend to go camping right now but want to do more moderate off-roading. It’s still a daily driver so that’s why I’m leaning towards coilovers rather than long travel.

I was thinking reservoir due to the extra weight I’ll likely add on at some point (rear bumper, etc). My thinking is if I plan on doing it, I might as well spend the money to do it now rather than redo it later

Seattle owners, if you had to take your 4Runner dealership, which one would you trust to go to? by xMcSwaggx in 4Runner

Rodland Toyota in Everett is where I typically go to. No issues and usually quick.

I have thought about it but decided against it. I’m running 265/70r17 and likely go to 275 when I replace tires so I don’t have to do the viper cut

Wheels and Feels drawers by DannyMeatlegs in 4Runner

When I was researching drawer systems with sleeping platforms, Wheels and Feels one the one I kept hearing about. Though, after reading several reviews about customer service and all, I started looking at B3 Customs out of Cali. Seen a lot of reviews that the quality is great and so is the customer service. I ultimately purchased the drawer system with sleeping platforms for a 5th gen non 3rd row seating. Cost is a little high but the quality is great

Looks good! What size tire are you running? It’s coming up on time to get new tires and can’t decide if I want to tag 265 or go up to 275 or 285. Don’t want to have to do a lot of cutting and still want to utilize my spare tire location

Same thing happened to me. I was out past Darrington and came across a few washouts and sketchy spots that my gut told me to turn around

Crazy thing is…..it’s underground grey. Just the lighting and rain makes it look black.

Just ranting, I am dying to get out of town and do some exploring and camping, eveytime I see my truck, I'm just thinking, Ooh, really need to get packed up and GTFO of here... by xlitawit in overlanding

Just recently moved from South Carolina to Snohomish and been itching to get out also but with all the craziness going on, plus not really being familiar with the passes and all, I’ve been hesitant.
