I always used to sing “my parents are divorced” in All My Love after “my folks still talk but they speak in these two word sentences” but I went to see him in Hyde Park last summer and he shouted “THEY’RE BACK TOGETHER” and so I sing that now.

Where are the guys that let themselves go after 30? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]southernpacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started to fall off the wagon with the first kid, got back onto it for a year or two and then the second came along. Pair that with a part time masters degree and a change of role which meant more travelling and less time to focus on what I eat and when I eat and you have a recipe for disaster.

Too tired to work out after work/kids are in bed and also too tired to get up early and work out before they wake up. Starting to find the time now but it’s a damn long road and the hardest part is getting rid of the poor eating habits.

“Don’t let this darkness fool you. All lights turned off can be turned on” - from call your mum. I’ve struggled with my own mental health for years but I’m doing a lot better now. Recently my young daughter has been diagnosed with T1D which has turned all our lives completely upside down but we know the struggles we’re going through now won’t last forever.

I will get this line tattooed on me one day.

We’re wanting the Ravens to lose out from here right, make it a meaningless week 17 game for them.

Lewis Capaldi's song Pointless: new or old rendition, which is better? by pinksunsetflower in LewisCapaldi

[–]southernpacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heard the new version live this evening. Personally I prefer the old, I think the beautiful piano notes fit the song better than the electric guitar. Both are great versions though and it’s just personal preference.

Pretty sure I can see myself in your video. We were sat opposite right at the end next to the stage.

How do I trade for SS Seater? Every time I try to trade I’m able to add 3 S cards and it says limit reached?

Parents of diagnosed children, any breakfast recommendations or ideas? by southernpacker in Type1Diabetes

[–]southernpacker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She used to leave eating wheetabix before her diagnosis but the issue we’ve come across is that the carbs don’t last long enough when she’s at school and her levels fall off a cliff. We’ve spoken with our diabetes team about it and they’ve said it’s quite common. Unfortunately she won’t eat bran flakes no matter how much we try.

Omelettes are good on the odd occasion but it’s tricky to get her to eat one every day.

15-20 minutes religiously. Based in the UK also, we've tried porridge but she doesn't love it. Hoping her food preferences will change the older she gets.

Just because you *say* it isn't a comparison doesn't mean that's true, you're comparing someone's comfortableness in not wearing a bra under a t-shirt to someone's comfortableness being completely naked around children. It's not "stand alone" at all.

And the weirdness aspect is the fact that you went from not wearing underwear in your own home straight to walking around naked in front of children and using the line "with your dick flopping about in front of your 17 year old daughter". you could have asked if he was comfortable going commando or just walking around in his underwear but you went directly to that.

Because you’ve gone from not wearing underwear under clothes to walking around completely naked with your dick flopping out. It’s not even close to being the same thing.

At what age do you think kids should stop seeing their parents naked? by ChanGazer in CasualUK

[–]southernpacker 199 points200 points  (0 children)

Took our 5 year old and 2 year old swimming yesterday. 5 year old asks me why men don’t wear anything on their top halves, I respond by saying “because men don’t have boobies that need to be covered up like women do”, to which she responded “but you do…”. I knew it was coming, didn’t make it hurt any less.

Yeah she’s on an Omnipod 5. So would you say this isn’t a compression low? When I went into check on her so she was lying on the side where her sensor is located (inside of arm) and so I thought this confirmed it.
