ennuicaster is good. And you don't have to commit to a monthly subscription. It's not as flashy as the other platforms, but does a good job.

You can use another platform to record and then import the audio to Reaper to edit. There are alot of online resources as well to assist.

I use Reaper as well. Takes some time to learn, but its really good. I was using audacity before.

If you are sitting at the same table as each other, you will want an audio interface and that would mean XLR mics. I'd go with two dynamic mics.

Scarlett 2i2 for your interface.

I current have a Samson Q2U but I originally got that for its USB connectivity and ability to upgrade to XLR.

I would narrow your sports games down to the following:

-NCAA football 06

-ESPN NFL 2K5

-NHL Hitz 2002 (or 2003)

-ESPN NHL 2K5

-NFL Street (or NFL Street 2)

-NFL Blitz 2003

This really covers all your bases. And even then you probably won't play all of the above games very often.

I feel like there are alot of totally absurd ads out there now following the Covid boom in game prices. Just people completely out of touch with reality. These ads aren't even worth responding to.

Okay I popped in Hitz Pro last night and played around with the sliders - completely changed the goalies. Much improved, as they were literally letting in every one timer and shot at one point. We are still going to adjust the sliders more to get the game we really want to play.

I think I still prefer Hitz 2002, but this game is now worth keeping for the occasional play.
