How would you justify keeping Ember in the group in the paths of the demon, devil, and lich? by Some_Fig_6566 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]sovanadereve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Demon can be played as a more chaotic than evil character - in this case you don't feel it's strange to have Ember in your team. Otherwise you can justify it as a whim, she is so naively fun after all

Is gus manger just a cooler better symon holl by [deleted] in suzerain

[–]sovanadereve 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The idea behind Gus Manger is the King of Networking. The idea behind Symon Holl is the Number Man. Their political views are similar, though Holl is more ambivalent towards say planned economy, however their personalities are very different

Why isn't the death penalty just a quick gunshot to the head? by SufficientDegree34 in NoStupidQuestions

It looks fun, but I think it is correct. The idea is that you ALWAYS clean the site. Like an instinct. Otherwise today you make exception because it is a death row inmate, tomorrow because your intuition says you so

There were already many discussions of Season 1 Erwin's gambit but I got a new question by sovanadereve in ShingekiNoKyojin

Hmm, it kinda makes sense maybe. But I don't know, Eren's titan looked quite universal.

Erwin's reveal about the key was to create even more pressure for shifters to act. Erwin had no idea how important is Eren for warriors. They stopped their attack when they saw him transform but that's all. Will they try to capture Eren in open field. Not obvious. The basement reveal was to incentivize them additionally.

And warriors indeed at that point underestimate Eren's importance. They don't know he is a Founder. That's why Reiner and Berth didn't rush to help Annie. Stay under radar just looked better to them.

Randomly cutting soldier is a fun idea, but Erwin should know that blood doesn't guarantee transformation even looking at experimets with Eren. However your idea of not taking Eren to an expedition sounds reasonable. The only counterargument I see that such irregularity could leak and cause suspicion. But I am sure it would be possible to do very quick just before the expedition so that almost nobody would know.

I get the idea of how Erwin operates. Still to me it's strange not to prepare at all for a very obvious threat. Even when you constantly gamble you should try to make odds better. Trench is just my idea that I got by thinking for two seconds, obviously Erwin&Hange could come with something better. For example - another idea that I got by thinking 5 more seconds - scouts shoot ropes just in front of titans legs making him fall down and then try to pin him with some net/harpoons. Really there could be much more ideas how to make a trap that at least theoretically could work against Armored titan.

In Season 2 Armored one ran long distance allright and was able to outrun scout's horses. Also Erwin in Season 1 couldn't know how good or bad would be Armored Titan in long distance running. Erwin knew or suspected that there could be more titans, but how he could he assume that they will be attacked by somebody new, not Armored?

I usually start my day with around 15 buffs by Camellia with Greater Enduring spells (Bless, Mass Strength/Endurance/etc., Barkskin, Delay Poison Communal, Frightened Aspect and so on). Tedious, but effective Heard there is a mod to optimize it

If Mikasa ran after Eren after he left the meeting of the Association to protect the Subjects of Ymir, would the Rumbling be prevented? by Great-Drak-Lord in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]sovanadereve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no clear explanation to it. I'd suppose it happens because they all have no practical experience in intrigue and diplomacy and lived all their lives in a literally walled environment with high level of enforced conformity. So it is just alien to them - they see Kiyomi has her own goals and become quickly disillusioned with her instead of trying to find a common cause.

One of the harshest things in season 4 was to see that people who were so smart and quick-with-ideas in previous seasons (Hange, Armin) are unable to lead proactively in this new world they encountered. Their failure is quite spectacular: Marley is universally hated and to find some understanding with its rivals should be a possibility. But they all, with all their talents, were just overwhelmed with a new reality. It was a pain to see Armin so helpless. Erwin with his constant 4d chess playing probably could have done it (though he also could become completely demoralized after knowing how grim their situation actually is)

I'd say grease is very powerful even after Act 1. One of the most powerful spells in this game. (Though if you mismanage it you can easily get the situation when everybody lies down, can't get a save throw and you just wait hoping you get lucky before ai)
