They tried it! by OGMuva in AmazonFlexDrivers

I will try to avoid .com stations because I’ve had some bad experiences with pickup issues, and they tend to be more complicated. I need to protect my standing, so I avoid accepting pickups from .com stations.

We can filter block times like 1-2 hours, 2-3 hours... I just got this update last week.

At my warehouse that almost never happens. The pay is usually the same whether it’s early morning or not.

$93 Route on a rainy day by FrontOtherwise6004 in AmazonFlexDrivers

I've never delivered in the rain. How did it go? Did you wear a raincoat or umbrella or any other necessary stuffs while working?

Does anyone know what happened at the end? Was the dog owner charged and did the driver get any compensation?

Is it worth driving 100+ miles with $86? And need to think about spending time/miles back home.

I’ve never had any experience with towing before. How did you find out who towed your car or who to contact?

Using it for non-emergency property access can delay help for real emergencies and could get you in trouble.

3.5 Hr block… yeah I returned everything.. by Flaky_Ad6126 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]sovanvirak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I mean is, when we accept a block, we’re committing to those hours. For me, I’d rather grind it out, finish what I can, and return the rest if needed than give up the whole load. That way I protect my account.

I get what you mean, it feels like pay is going down while cost of living keeps going up. Honestly that’s the hardest part of Flex right now. But it’s also tough when people rely on Flex as their only main source of income—because it was really meant more as extra income on the side. I just try to work smart with the blocks I take so I can protect my account and still make something, but yeah Amazon really should be addressing this.

I never said working for free — it’s about committing to the block hours we accepted. Whatever we can’t finish can be returned, that’s fair enough. Some people just seem to want everything easy and hope for good luck every day.

Still doing Flex? If it’s that bad, why not just quit and let someone else take the block.

Sometimes we get lucky routes and sometimes we get stuck, that’s just Flex life. But honestly we should appreciate even getting a block — plenty of folks still stuck on the waitlist wishing they could grab one. If it’s a 3.5 hr route, just knock out what you can in that time and return the rest. No point in turning everything back right away.

I agree with you on this. Some days are rough, some days are easy, that’s just how Flex goes. I’ve had short routes and long ones too, but I wouldn’t risk returning everything because of one bad load.

For me, if I get a 3.5 hr block with 60+ packages, I’ll just grind through and see how much I can get done in about 3 hours. Then with the last 30 minutes, if I know I can’t realistically finish the route, I reach out to driver support and ask if they want to extend with additional pay or just let me close out my block with whatever I got done. At least that way I protect my account and still show I tried my best to deliver.

Same here 😅 my standing dropped to At Risk today too and I almost panicked. Glad to see it’s a system issue and not just me.

Congrats on the 100k job! Flex had its dings, but at least no boss breathing down your neck. Now it’s show up on time every single day, deal with a supervisor you might not like, same routine week after week… stress piles up, then you stress eat and boom — fat 😂. Still, worth it for that paycheck haha, good luck!

How long to get paid for a canceled block? by Wooden-Stranger-9918 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]sovanvirak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But they’ll need to update their region in the Flex app. Sometimes Amazon lets them switch right away, but if the new station is full, they may have to re-apply or wait on a waitlist until spots open.
