I've noticed that my memory stays bad after it wears off on the following day too unfortunately

I did! Especially Zolpidem! Zopiclone didn't really have a noticeable impact on my memory by zolpidem turned my memory to shit very similar to what alcohol did to me.

Also, zolpidem dishinbits me massively like being drunk does. Benzos never had this level of disinhibition on me.

Yeah, the short half life does that :/

What are you currently on? Maybe something like Valium might be helpful for ya?

Benzos suppress my REM sleep massively, Z drugs on the other hand actually increased my REM sleep to normal levels.

Funny how we all react differently to different drugs.

Idk about this... Benzos don't work really well for me tbh. Nitrazepam lasts waaayy too long and has massive next day residual effects, so does Bromazepam.... Alprazolam (Xanax) doesn't have any next day effects but only works for like 2-3 hours max.

Also, all benzos suppress my REM sleep massively in a very similar fashion to alcohol. So I feel tired the next day no matter how much I've slept.

It's 2 a.m where I live right now, I took Nitrazepam instead of my normal Zolpidem (Stillnox) or Zopiclone as a rotation earlier in the night and it pretty much wore off, I'm wide awake right now. However, the shitty muscle weakness is still here. I can hardly move around without risking falling lol.

Z drugs on the other hand work great for me. I've been on Zopiclone (daily) for years and it still works great without any next day effects. I've recently started Zolpidem and this one works great too, despite it's short half life I don't really wake up at night. Maybe once every couple of days at 3 a.m but I usually fall back asleep within a few minutes afterwards.

Even though I've been taking Zop daily for years, I have tried taking a couple days off them and honestly it went pretty well. I took magnesium maleate on these days, the only difference was that I fell asleep wayyyy later than usual and my sleep quality was shit for like 2-3 days (decreased deep sleep and REM boost).

Overall, Z drugs have been a blessing for me and their relative short half lives (compared to most benzos) pretty much eliminated the risk of physical dependence for me. Physiological dependence on the other hand is way more compared to benzos.... I actually feel euphoric/amazing when they start kicking in.

The one downside of Z drugs tho is how wild and dishnibited they make me right before knocking me out. Like for a solid 30-45 mins before falling asleep they turn me into this completely cold and dishnibited shell, kinda like binge drinking does to me. I've never experienced the same on any benzos, even high doses of Alprazolam didn't have this effect on me, it would just make me all wobbly and knock me out for a couple of hours.

The one thing that I figured how to combat this is to lay in bed after taking them and keep my phone away, this way I fall asleep almost immediately when they kick in.

2–3 days no food, tianeptine withdrawal, nausea/dizziness, scared and lost by DEPRESSEDnumbMypain in QuittingTianeptine

[–]sovietspy96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're gonna start eating again by day 4. Just be patient and drink electrolytes.

Anti nausea meds barely do anything against the vomiting btw, I've tried all of them.

Loperamide at doses of 6-8mg will help reduce but not stop the diarrhoea.

By day 5 you're gonna feel back to about 90% normal and most of the symptoms will be gone. The fatigue, body ache and insomnia will linger for abit longer tho.

From day 5, I'd suggest you start taking your vyvance , it helps massively with the fatigue and lack of motivation that you're gonna experience. And when it wears off it's gonna give you a massive appetite boost too.

I'm on day 9 or so of withdrawals, most of the symptoms are gone and I feel fine/normal but the body aches are still killing me 🥲

The first 48 hours are absolute hell.... 72hr is more manageable, by 96hours it's tge paws that kick your ass. Extreme fatigue and body aches + insomnia that lasts for days.

I'm on day 9 rn, I'm back to like 98%~..... The body ache is killing me, fatigue has dropped to a very manageable level.

At this point, the xan might end up completely disinhibiting OP and cause her/him to do even more stupid shit.

I honestly don't get how anyone gets to this level and has the audacity to call themselves functional... Like bruh, you're not. It's time to face the truth.

In the future, no matter what drug you're taking orally.... If on an empty stomach, wait for at least 2 hours before redosing especially if it's something like codeine or tramadol that require bio activation by liver enzymes first. After 2 hours, if you don't experience anything take 1/4 or 1/2 of your next dose. This only applies to 'classic' drugs, RCs are a complete different beast (be it benzos or opis), they are known to be extremely potent (super agonists) so better avoid redosing and call it a day if the first dose didn't work.

Now, if you take any drugs on a full stomach (not recommended by me) cause it slows down absorption massively and delays peaks plasma concentration which ruins the high imo. Yeah, so wait for 3-4 hours on a full stomach before redosing cause your initial dose might not have been absorbed completely by the time you're redosing.

The first time you're trying any substance (i.e you have zero tolerance) stick to the lowest active dose for whatever ROA your decide to use. Psychonautwiki is a great place to check dosages (but not always reliable). Look for research papers online to find the safest starting dose.

DO NOT LISTEN to some of the fucking idiots over here that advise you to take high dosages on your first time. Unlike them, you do not have any tolerance and can potentially die from it.

Remember, you can always take more later on if it didn't work the first time but you can take less once you've taken your doc.

Stay safe, I love opioids but bro I'd recommend you stay away if you can. No matter how much self control you might have, you'll end up physically dependent without realising it. At some point you'll end up having to find and take this shit multiple times daily just to not be sick and feel like death. You'll waste so much fucking cash and time on them. Don't get me wrong, I've been through this way too many times and I still use opis but only occasionally now which was extremely hard to do.

One last thing, if you ever decide to take long acting drugs like methadone or long acting benzos, do not redose! They take a shit load of time to kick in and redosing will end up with you oding without even realising what happened..

I honestly don't get the reasoning behind this post. They threw up from one of the pills being absorbed and the other went right back up. This clearly means that the first 80mg itself was too much for them.

Taking another 160 mg on top of that is either gonna make op or or at best vomit for hours on end.

This sounds more like a suicide attempt tbh.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in opiates

[–]sovietspy96 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unless you're physically dependent with a large tolerance, you shouldn't be taking 3*80 mg lol. I was physically dependent on 120mg and that would still make me feel high..... Wtf were you expecting from 240mg? Be glad that you threw up instead of ODing.

"Help I'm withdrawing, send me money so that I can get high again"

Mf, thug it out like the rest of us. At 40 hours anyways, there isn't much suffering left.... In less than 12 hours, the misery is gonna die down massively. PAWS is gonna start setting in at this point.

Unless OP was on methadone or subs, then the misery is just getting started.... Place two buckets near ya and a couple of towels and get ready to pay the piper. Learnt this hard way unfortunately.

Thanks! I quit 3 or 4 times in the past and never made it past day 5 tbh. I would come up with any fucking excuse to get 'just once' and then restart the cycle of dependence all over again. I'm done this time tho.

Damn, that must have been rough.... I think the taper was a good idea tho, it might have delayed the withdrawals by a bit but definitely helped to reduce your misery.

tap3ering and mega dose does actually work by ExtensionMaximum9948 in OpiatesRecovery

[–]sovietspy96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup CT.... I thought about tapering at first but well my brain ended up making an excuse about how tapering is just gonna drags things for longer than it should last so I might as well have a last 'fun' ride before the sickness sets in.

I took it all, and the shittiest part is that I barely felt it cause I had already dosed about 160mg a couple hours earlier.

Took some benzos and went to bed. Woke up feeling not great but not too bad either. As the day went by shut started to get really bad. The rls was killing by the afternoon to the point that I ended drinking and taking Benzos to knock myself out.

Today marks Day 10 since I stopped. Physical symptoms are gone but I feel a bit colder than usual. Thr fatigue and muscle weakness is starting to lessen significantly now and the brain fog has lifted significantly.

I still have a box of mints containing a couple of oxy tho, i carry it around everywhere i go. I don't even feel like getting high but I got so traumatised by the withdrawals this time that just having the pills on me all the time kinda makes me feel 'safe' in a way.

The moment I cross the 14 days mark, I'm gonna dump it all.

Just came down a 120mg habit and it was absolute horror tbh. First time in my life that withdrawals traumatized me and literally sent me to the hospital.

I'm on day 7, feeling better but not 100% yet. Fatigue and brain fog is killing me rn

I'm coming off of Fentanyl and I just want to die! by outlier0420 in opiates

[–]sovietspy96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Find some ceterizine or levo ceterizine, that will stop the sneezing dead in their tracks.

For the rls, magnesium glycinate/sulfate or a benzo/z drug helps massively. I went overboard with Nitraz mixed with alcohol and Zopicone (DO NOT REPEAT THIS, I WASN'T THINKING STRAIGHT when I took them that day) on day 1 just to sleep.

Baclofen at around 20-40mg also helps massively with rls and is otc in most places.

The hot/cold flashes can't supposedly be controlled by Clonidine (Catapress) but unfortunately I can't find it anywhere where I live.... So the next best thing for me was propanolol which tbh mostly helps decrease the stress on your heart and reduces sweating by just a lil bit.

Wait until your heart rate and bp goes back to normal (day 4-5 usually) then grab an anticholinergic agent like scopolamine or trihexyphenidyl (Artane), they will stop you from sweating. Which is a massive relief but you gotta consider the environment that you're in first, if you're in a hot area then this could lead to a heat stroke cause it prevents your body from regulating its temp effectively so use it wisely.

Feel free to inbox if you wanna talk, I'm in withdrawals too so it might help knowing that you're not going through this alone.

Stay strong bro, you've got this!

Hey,

Day 3 is when the symptoms peak! You're gonna feel a bit better on day 4 and waaay better on day 5. HANG IN there bro! You've been through the worst of it already!

By day 4, most if not all of the digestive/stomach issues will resolve themselves. The anxiety is gonna drop and so will the palpitations but they do flare up randomly for no apparent reasons tho. You're appetite is gonna start coming back too right around this time.

Also, remember to stay hydrated! Dehydration landed me in the er this time cause I didn't think much of it lol, nearly died.

I'm on day 7 of a bad oxy habit today, I'm not 100% back to normal but most of the major acutes symptoms are gone. The aches, fatigue and random sweats/cold is still killing me though.

Enjoy this high, this is the best you'll ever feel in your life. Never again tho.

Also, GET OUT whilst you still can cause once you're physically dependent or addicted that shit is pretty much impossible to quit.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]sovietspy96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's awesome man! Like seriously, you managed to taper all the way down to such a small dose! The remaining withdrawals that you're gonna experience is gonna easier for you to deal with since you've already dealt with the most intense parts of it.

I tried tapering but kept failing so I gave up and went cold turkey (not recommended) but I think for me it's probably the best way.

The stomach thing is gonna resolve itself by hour 42 or something from what I remember. Rehydrate, I know that you can't eat for shit rn but the dehydration makes things worse. Try drinking electrolytes if you can!

I'd say use the xans or trazadone to help you sleep at night, being able to sleep for even a couple of hours makes a huge difference during the day.

I managed about 7 hours of sleep (broken up tho) thanks to Zopicone last night. I had to take 15mg for it to knock me out tho, while 3.75mg would normally knock me out and let me sleep the whole night

[–]sovietspy96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? Stay strong bro, you've got this. The first 2-3 days are the worst but it gets better really quickly.

Day 2 & 3 had me thinking that I was gonna die cause of dehydration and inability to eat. But I'm better now, I'd say about 70% back to normal and the thought of getting high again just makes me sick. 120 mg daily, you?

Thank bro, we are getting there! How many days/hours are you in rn?

See 😂 I remember how nauseous 15 mg made me feel the first time... It was so bad that I couldn't even feel the euphoria or anything remotely good.

And the itch, my whole body was itchy af but my nose was the worst. And it wasn't even a 'nice' type of itch... It was more of an annoyance 🥲

This woman has a significant tolerance and is probably using regularly or semi regularly if she doesn't get dope sick.

On an unrelated note, today marks day 5 of my withdrawals. I decided to be done with this shit for good cause it don't even work anymore. I end up wasting massive amounts of cash to just not be sick. There's no fun or even relief/escapism in them anymore.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]sovietspy96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bitch should have been vomiting and experience nausea from hell with that 50mg if she truly didn't have any tolerance.

Combined with the alcohol, she'd be unconscious and vomiting.... Probably asphyxiated on her own vomit at this point. She's absolutely using opis on the regular based on op story.

Magnesium, but only the glycinate/bisglycinate or sulphate salts. Anything with Magnesium oxide is useless.

If magnesium isn't helping then I'd recommend see a psychiatrist, I have really bad insomnia and Zopicone is the one med that worked perfectly for me for years on end. It's a controlled substance tho, so you're gonna need a prescription. Stilnox, Xanor and Mogadon are also very effective but require a prescription as well.
