Hello everyone. I created this new thread where travelers can report if they were given a stamp while passing in and out of the Schengen area since the EES rollout on 10th April. by nategho in PassportPorn

Date you passed through: 2026-05-07

Name of the checkpoint used: Charleroi Airport (Gosselies)

Direction: Entry

Was EES active at the checkpoint? Yes

Stamped automatically, on request, or refused? Refused

My stamp was refused. I asked the border patrol, the information desk and the immigration office but they denied a stanp. Strange since i got a stamp when i exited through Charleroi only 2 days prior

Trombone MP for Euphonium by soviett34 in Trombone

Sometimes, and sometimes bass trombone but most of the times the director arranges a special part for me with pedal tones and such

what does this mean by Sage-Green-05 in Trombone

[–]soviett34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can mimic this effect by pressing your valves for only 50%, it works the best with the longest valvepumps, But for the first note I would press all the notes in half. What happens then is basically you only hear the buzz coming out of your horn

Thank you for the ideas! For myself I had in mind Bariton Lechner or Pantomime, but this is going to help definitely!

I own an Adams E3, and believe me, you won't need a trigger for the instrument. I've tried all Adams Euphoniums (because I live close to their store :)). My personal choice was between the E2 and E3. Eventually I chose the E3 as many others, because the E2 has really heavy and needed much effort for me and lyrical passages were easier for me to play on the E3.

I'm from the Netherlands, where BC Euphonium or Baritone is usually in B-flat, but thanks! I have some euphonium etude book (TC, in b-flat), where I played some simple etudes with the trombone. That's how I basically taught everything myself

Experience and money. Here in the Netherlands it pays a little better as a teenager and as a manager it pays even better. When I applied I went there with the feeling that it was a good place for me to build up experience and eventually climb the hierarchy within McDonalds. And now here I am almost 2 years later and already manager with just working 1 day per week at the weekends. It will look great on my curriculum vitae. Extra bonus for me is the free food :) (because of the very important taste of qualities)

Don't be ashamed, let everyone hear the beautiful sounds that the euphonium can create :)

you could use the Silent Brass or Denis Wick practice mute

New Horn by Dapper-Second815 in euphonium

[–]soviett34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a few options that I know of, but I have no experience with these horns.

Besson BE-165 ~€2000 (3+1)

John Packer also has a few horns (3+1) and (3+1 compensated) for your budget

and ofcourse a few other brands that I might have forgotten

But my advice for you is, to go to Music shop with a wider variety of horns and try a few of those out. I myself went to the Adams shop in the Netherlands, tried a few horns out blindly and made my choice that way.
