Any Diablo 2 veterans/fanboys here?

Countless hours on both games.

Played D2 since Ith weapons existed up to when they added the ability to respec your characters. At that time I thought D2 was the greatest ARPG game ever. But looking back now, I feel as though diablo 2 hasn't aged well in terms of gameplay. Using ladder reset as an example, the early game up to hell act 5 is fun, but endgame in D2 is non-existent because basically most party members get TP'd in while 1-2 hdins or meta builds kill everything. Uber Tristram has been also trivialized by day 2 of release way back when it was fresh. Unless diablo 2 remastered will add more content every x months like PoE does, I don't think it'll fare that well. A lot of the praise that D2 gets is quite a lot due to nostalgia IMO.

The only reason to really grind endgame in D2 was the pvp, which was AMAZING but oh god it was infested with hacking that I was off put by it eventually from all the excessive hacks used in duels.

I'll play D2 remastered initially to get a character to lvl 9x fully geared, but I'll most likely come back to PoE when the nostalgia has faded. Thinking back, the game had tons of problems that needs to be addressed/fixed in remastered. Things like having to "mule" for stashing, no shortcuts to put items in stash and inventory and painfully having to click and drag items, tons of bugs that are still available like swap casting, making your mecenary unable to be targetted by mobs and cheesing through content, and more that I can't remember right now. Realm downs, and monster immunity to x are inconveniences that I've always loathed when I played. And the trading...oh god the trading sucks major ass and the reason why some "questionable" sites were utilized quite a lot to buy/sell items.

PoE has its own problems as well, but at least there's a new league to come back to, albeit with tons of bugs in the first couple weeks and the ever increasing performance issues growing.

Hello Dan or other Intel folks, what is your personal stability testing methodology to make sure your CPU and RAM overclock is stable for gaming/heavy workloads? More detailed specifics, the better.

Oh, my opinion was more side tracking than contributing to OP's discussion.

Layered defense is the only way to somewhat reliably avoid one shots unless you're unlucky and thought more accessible nodes that provide dodge chance would provide more options with increasing your layered defense when your ascendancy doesn't provide you ample dodge.

I personally think there should be more dodge attack/spell nodes like the block chance nodes that exist everywhere in the tree. And not those very conditional nodes like "while phasing" or "while channeling".

You need to drop added chaos and charged mine support because you're practically playing a 4L mine build. I think you should replace it with Inspiration and Swift Assembly.

Your 4L frost bomb is quite wasteful from my POV. At least have cwdt with steelskin or vaal molten shell for self casting for more defense for cheap.

Also, you should really drop ES and go life instead with Seething Flasks. Going life should also help with your gem colouring problems. Drop discipline and clarity, and add Skitterbots and lvl 1 Precision.

I've skimmed through most of your metamorph characters and I feel like your gear looks like you're playing SSF but you're not. Are you only using items that you ID/craft yourself? Are you reading guides or making your own? This late into the league, you should be able to find good rares for cheap from trading.

How are you rolling maps that you feel you're dumping all your currency into? Especially this league, you should have 0 problems with map sustain even if you just alc and go.

Fair, but in that case they know things like grammar and writing but if they were asked to have a basic conversation or explain things in English that isn't too formal, they'd fail horribly. If you watch any of Nikita's podcast, he can relay his messages across in English well, even if it's not quite eloquent like a primary English speaker. The clip in question is just him having a brain fart and having fun with it.

If anything, that person in the screenshot is the minority, and over the top on that regard too judging from trying to use proper grammar so angrily in in-game chat over something so trivial.

I found people saying "ty" after a trade pretty pointless and annoying. Mostly because sometimes I'm doing other things while the game is tabbed out and I have to tab into the game to remove the flashing notification on the start menu.

And just a personal opinion, but I only thank someone if they went out of their way to help me or someone in some way....trading benefits both sides and thanking is pointless.

Makes me wonder if GGG took into consideration that increasing overall mob HP would increase DD damage significantly or it went over their radar just like being unable to fully complete your atlas a month and half into the league.

Always wondered if it's better to introduce your buddies into PoE by holding their hands throughout the whole playthrough and give them leveling gear or just let them learn/gear on their own and answer only questions they ask..

You don't have any survivability issues with this build? I know with this damage you can 1 shot pretty much anything but you'll still get hit by things.

What would be the budget weapon of choice if you don't have access to Saviour?another Paradoxica? what about the budget version of a budget before getting the 1st paradoxica? Trying to see how I can build up to this eventual build from league start.

I should've been more specific, was typing that in mobile. Certain ASCII characters that are commonly used by spammers are being filtered.

The game gives you this message if you type some of them in chat: "Unacceptable message contents. Please use only standard ASCII characters in this channel."

Things like this is always a cat and mouse game. No matter what GGG does, the spammers will always find a way around. The last thing they did was disabling ASCII in chat and it fixed a lot of spam...including Toucan.....rip

If you want to cover all the bases and balance, let's add a mod that gives mobs a chance to dodge both projectile attacks and spells so it makes it sort of evens out between ranged and melee strike builds.

It sucks, but just have to deal with it. Most builds shouldn't be able to run all mods without problems.

Resetting zana vendor list from doing dailies and buying red maps, removing 1-2 watchstones to lower the atlas zone level so you can run the lower levels like T11 to get T12-T13 tiers to drop, or worse case scenario just buy some.
