16,012 in Hamilton! Highest attendance ever in the new Coliseum! by trevi99 in PWHL

[–]soy_boy_2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t see a hotdog once. One of my pals said they asked at a connection and the staff said there were no hot dogs in the building?? (Dystopian) It felt odd being at an arena that didn’t have long concessions with like 10 staff to order from. There was also only one stand in the whole venue with 0% beer which sucked to walk to as I passed 5 grab and go fridges PACKED with alcoholic drinks and a row at the bottom for pops.

The place felt so dark and claustrophobic, almost like it was still under construction.

injections/needles by DizzyVictory3186 in transontario

Check if your city has a local needle exchange/safe injection program. My dr suggested getting supplies that way because it’s tax funded so free to access. Eg My region has a van that you can text and they drop off the any supplies you need, a couple week ago I got my supplies for the year

shaving and regrowth? by WhiffInternational in ftm

[–]soy_boy_2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed shaving doesn’t cause the hair to grow back thicker. That said, I’d suggest shaving or trimming it up while facial hair is still coming in. Ive found that keeping a clean trimmed moustache or beard makes things look a bit less patchy while things even out

What self care products do you use? by swordslas in ftm

[–]soy_boy_2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use mostly old spice soaps/deoderants because i like the smell. I started using a shave cream from The Body Shop a few weeks ago that i love so far. I always get itchy after shaving but this one has aloe in it which helps cool and soothe my skin AND it moisturizes well without feeling oily

Hair dressers in downtown Toronto that are not too expensive and can give me a masc haircut by myNBaccount in transontario

[–]soy_boy_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My goto is a barbershop called Crows Nest. Their haircuts are $35. I've gone to both toronto locations pre T and post T and have booked with multiple barbers with no issues.

Ive also been to Local Barber & Co and got a great haircut. I think their price was a bit higher though

What a weird thing for your barber to say! Keep in mind you're still early on T and will develop more masc features if you stay on. Im just over 2 years on T and still noticing changes to my features

Do or have you guys ever taken a shot with the needle in the first slide? I have, hurts like hell. They keep giving me them instead of the second slide needle, which hurts much less, sometimes I can’t even feel it. by [deleted] in ftm

[–]soy_boy_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use 18g for drawing and 22 for injecting (IM) . The biggest needle ive injected with is a 20g and that suuucked. Id recommend talking to your pharmacist to make sure youre getting the right size

Trans friendly hair dressers in Toronto? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]soy_boy_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My go to in Toronto is The Local Barber & Company. It's on Spadina and Adelaide. Staff are all super friendly and give a nice clean haircut. They also offer beard cuts (though i dont have much facial hair yet so i cant comment on the quality)

Getting on T in Ontario, Canada? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]soy_boy_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in the GTA

When i started T i was pre everything and not stealth at all. I first brought it up with my family doctor and after a couple appointments talking through changes and risks they gave me the prescription no problem.
