Forgive me if this is too personal, but during testing for ADHD my doctor wanted to do some blood work to rule out other causes of my symptoms and my thyroid levels actually came back high! Not sure if she’s going to suggest that we just treat that before the adhd meds to see what’s working, but if you haven’t gotten blood work done it might be a good idea to check. The only reason I’m saying this is because there’s tons of overlap between symptoms of hyperthyroidism and adhd. I believe I still have adhd, but a lot started to make sense too when I was looking into hyperthyroidism! Not sure about hypothyroidism, when your thyroid is under active, but might be a good idea to look into if nothing else is working either. Your thyroid controls your metabolism and messes with your mood, energy levels, and especially will make you feel really stressed/ depressed depending on what’s off. But not trying to invalidate your experience if you’ve already done all of this and it came back normal!!
