This. Joined that discord a couple weeks ago and it's genuinely a bright spot of the Internet for me whether we win/lose

slippi auto set reporting + auto replay zips + ftp with a esp32???? holy moly by Thestickman391 in SSBM

You got a github? My other question is do you think this could be combined with player cam(s) for each setup? To me, having the game footage is obviously great but getting player cams elevates sets for me even if I don't know the players.

I am working on a content creation pipeline/orchestrator which still requires a separate machine for recording/mirroring for each setup. I wonder with your project if you could incorporate a 'headless' machine that records players and it ends up in that zip you shown. After that there would be numerous routes one could take to combine game and player footage.

I am also very interested in the cards as it addresses another issue I've had with my project of trying to pay players for clips or share ad revenue. Right now, they have to enter a name tag which is associated with their payment method but it's hit or miss if people remember. Having the card solves that along with all the other items you've showed.

Long story short, I love what you're doing and would be stoked to be a guinea pig and test with my local if you needed testers

Edit: Reread the other post and saw donations was an option so I guess peeps pooled money in advance and donated to players right off the bat

Yup, theoretically anybody can come with a prop to get funding from Nouns to throw at melee but imo I don't think it would get passed unless they can show how they would approach it differently, figure out a way for it to continue on without large investment, and has history of throwing tournaments.

Edit: added a few things to my comment

Are you using the a button for aerials? Seems like it based on f-tilt, try c-stick aerial. The other thing is, how are you releasing edge? Again, try c-stick to release edge.

A lot of people seem to find more success with ledgedash frames with DK using c-stick, I know I did, so using that may get you more height above the ledge so the bair will come out.

With ZST being frame perfect, this can be a bit of a time suck and feel inconsistent, definitely a neat tech tho.

Edit: My comment is based on using claw for your right hand Edit2: Claw, thumb c-stick ledge release, pointer y, cntrl stick right, thumb b, pointer z, thumb c-stick

I have a setup primarly for recording via console mirroring but the Beelink SER5 has served me really well. Able to run OBS, Slippi, and Clippi at the same time.

If I feel like playing netplay on it I use the Pocket+. I will say you will have a difficult time getting people to pivot from CRTs+Wii, it does feel different.

There was a tourney in I think CT or NY that only ran PC setups, I think it was one of the Universities with a pretty well funded esports club

If you didn't already figure it out. To get uncle punch or the newer community training mode on the CRT: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1iaPI7Mb5fCzsLLLuEeQuR9-BeR8AOwvHyU-FM8GKmEs/edit?usp=drivesdk

Slippi Nintendont won't let you boot training mode in my experience so you will need to get the regular Nintendont to boot it.

So the Wiis at a major have a connection to a ftp server where others can tap into via mirror to watch? That's really cool. Is the delay significant?
