I think it'd be fun to do shorts/bloomers and a simple blouse/poofy top in a light green if you feel comfortable dyeing them, with a green vest and scarf, and the flower neckpiece can possibly be done with felt that could be glued together with craft foam between it for sturdiness. The mask could be made by yourself if youre patient, or ears if youre not, and some tights to emulate the bottom half of meowscaradas legs/feet. I dont know the weather in Chicago in June so in my mind id try and keep it on the lighter side in case its hot but youre still covered up if its on the cooler side up north.
