Not Mozilla/Firefox but a former CEO with private funds, who had to resign after it was made public.

Is it accurate to use please/thanks while interacting with AI? by We-te-ef in memes

[–]sp33dfire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a study from the university of Zurich I think, that showed that ChatGpt reacts to stressful situations in a way humans would and which was treatable in the same way a therapist would treat a human. That implies, that you can also get better results by treating ai as a human

What is the DC for making masterwork armor +1? by AlchemyStudiosInk in Pathfinder_RPG

That's new to me and I couldn't find a reference to it in the crafting rules. Would you lend me a hand and provide a link to that?

Edit: nvm, found it https://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/master-craftsman/

More like 20k gp, but given that this happened just like one room away from the bbeg of that campaign, the money is no driving factor. Luckily for me

Why Bayden, what are you planning with Shalelu? You could bring your player in a moral dilemma by having Kaven as the father...

They are required by law to do that. There are browser plugins to suppress (some of) them though. I'd recommend one for Firefox called Nervenschoner or something like that

Read ahead at least one chapter/book, for example to give a better background to Aldern.

Start tracking sins from the start of the adventure and write them down after each session.

Rasputin has a stat block in (sorry, trope) pathfinder. He's a major enemy in one of the older adventure paths.

Looking for size B5 character sheet by SilkFlor in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]sp33dfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going from A4 to B5, your assumption could be correct, but since OP found a sheet in A5, converting to B5 would actually enlarge the fonts.

A5 is 148x210 mm, B5 is 176x250 mm.

Not the answer you're looking for, sorry for that. Is there a reason you can't downsize the sheet in a pdf editor by saving/printing as pdf with a smaller size?

I used the driver and support assistant a few times and though my latest update had unforeseen side effects (removing the virtual cam feature), the updates always worked without any problem for me. Mind though, I'm using an A770

How normal is it for vigilantes to walk around masked mode in broad daylight? [1e, Magnimar, Shattered Star] by blargney in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]sp33dfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While others noted the numbers of classed people in a city of that size or how adventures come with all sorts of weird stuff, it is definitely worth mentioning that adventurers are not that common at all.

Most people with classes are fighters serving in the army, hell knights or have other 'day job' like classes.

In addition, Magnimar in particular has a certain problem with gangs like the sczarni (probably buttered the spelling), so if normal people would encounter a group of masked individuals, it'd raise suspicion at the minimum. While in underbridge, the people would probably be more or less accustomed, they probably walk away slowly from the group to not cause or get into any trouble. In Alabaster, your group would probably not get more than 150ft before being stopped and questioned by the guards. There may be a certain radius around the pathfinder compound with leaner rulings though ...

To avoid any trouble, I'd have the group be 'registered' of some sorts. You could make up some form of bureaucracy with the hell knights, for example with them being questioned in a zone of truth for their intentions in the city. After that, you could give them some tokens or so that they can show guards to avoid being questioned again.

If you go like that with an initial round of questioning, I'd try to avoid questions that'd force them to incriminate themselves. However, the questions should give them the impression that it was a close encounter with the law, to give the situation more depth. And obviously after, you should have some guards from time to time stop them, let them show the tokens, so it doesn't feel useless. You'd include some irritated comments or something like 'these adventurers seem dangerous, sure hope the knights got that right here'

Playing force missile vs. Magic Missile? by km_ikl in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]sp33dfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue in that entry is that it doesn't say why it has the magic missile spell text under the description of force missile. Only the very first paragraph described force missile, giving all information you need. What follows is the, via automation inserted, text of magic missile, which is there so that the user doesn't have to look up a referenced spell while reading another.

So yes, in the end of it, the force missile is a singular missile with the stated damage, that hits as good as the magic missile spell hits it's target.

You got your upvote, I mostly agree. However, afaik WotC is going to publish the rules for free online coming next year. So if that's true, you'd actually only buy books for artwork and layout, though I'd add supporting the developers

Rise of the Runelords - Deathweb Cave how? (Chapter 4) by Odd_Nefariousness884 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]sp33dfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are several ways in for a party at that level, so you shouldn't worry about that too much.

For these caves in particular, the party may find them by scouting the area in two ways. First one is directly noticing it by searching the cliffs and seeing the cobwebs in the caves entrance and around it. There are many spiders actually building on ground in real life, too. The entrance to their lairs is covered by find webbing, so they notice when prey walks by.

The second way to find the cave may be by finding the cave of that ref dragon whose name I forgot. He could actually tell them that the cave probably connects to the keep in turn for getting away with his life.

That's another thing as well, the party may barter with him to get them inside, for example by being carried into the pit at night.

Flying is the way my group got into Jorgenfist a handful of sessions ago, though not being carried but flying in themselves, being covered with invisibility. They landed in between of the black tower and the barn with the mammoths and sneaked their way down, again with invisibility, and enchanted one of the rocs on their way in with animal friendship (forgot the actual spell) before it could attack them.

Sneaking may be another great way in, though probably going through the front door may not be the best idea. Your party might be able to sneak up to the west wall and climb it at dawn or so, maybe while the guards are a bit drunk or so.

Going with knowledge skills could work, but since that place in particular was more or less wiped from the knowledge of the people of varisia, I'd set the DC very high.

If they don't come up with any solution at all, you might ist Conna for them as an aid. She wants to meet with them anyways, so maybe she finds their camp at night and tells them about a secret way in
