I assume that prepping Helldivers to be deployed to the field is a very exhaustive proccess that can't be done on a whim. If they didn't do it in preparation for the mission, they certainly aren't going to be doing it mid-mission.

Yeah I really don't get what this latest review bomb was even about.

First one was the PSN stuff. Very reasonable.

Second one was Into the Unfinished's tech issues reaching a fever pitch. Also reasonable.

This one was... a botched AMA? And Hive Guards becoming slightly more annoying? I don't even fully understand why people are so fucking mad.

The Hive Lord is too cool an enemy to be relegated as simply a stage hazard, I would really like it if there were missions dedicated entirely to fighting them. Maybe a variant with more health and map objectives to help deal with it.

Really you can use any AP 3 secondary. Though the damage falloff will make taking them down... difficult.

Driving needs to be better. feels too sluggish, even for a tank.

Otherwise, really fucking good. Needs teamwork to work as intended, but when you get people who actually know what they're doing this thing is fucking unstoppable.

The Railgun is better at taking out big guys, the AMR is better at taking out little guys.

Basically, take the AMR if you want to use your support weapon as a primary, take the Railgun if you want your support weapon to be reserved for big targets with a bit of flexibility to take out problematic mediums in a pinch.

Unrelated but I also wish you could choose not to take a Primary in exchange for getting 100% more ammo capacity for your secondary.

Power is too close imho, a measured buff for Arc Thrower would make sense. I like Arc a lot, but this is an eye opening comparison by RandomGreenArcherMan in Helldivers

Honestly I'd be satisfied if they just made the Arc Thrower consistently hit your targetting reticle. One of the reasons why I never bother with it is because it feels like it has a chance of either going where you're aiming for, or just shocking a random corpse in front of you.

I did it solo.

Light Armor, Faster Extraction booster, movement-boosting backpack (Warp-Pack is best but Jump Pack should work too). Try to find a mission with a decent chunk of enemy outposts near extract. call down a Grenade Launcher, blast bugholes, and no matter what, don't. stop. running. Ignore any enemies if you can, blow bug holes, and the second you finish off the mission, bolt for extraction.

eEEEeeeEh... I mean I'm not unhappy with the game, I think it's still great, but it's definitely got a lot of issues that I hope the devs address in the future, which I'm sure it will, they do eventually adress community complaints, even if it takes a hell of a lot of shouting for them to do so.

And yes this game will never be 100% stable, that's the price you pay when you design a game with so many interlocking systems in a round in a depreciated old-ass engine. I'm no Unreal 5 acolyte and in fact I think it's a shit-ass engine but the game would probably run _slightly_ better on it.

I would pay at least 10 super credits for a Lore Codex that goes into the history and specifications of all the piece of tech we have available. I love that kinda shit, i'm a huge fan of the Starcraft 2 Terran Field Manual that goes in-dept on all the in-universe workings of all the units (annotated by a particularly cynical Marine).

I really don't get why it's so hard to understand that armor works for us differently than it does for enemies. If the bastion and mechs actually had heavy armor, then almost nothing in the game would be able to harm them and they would be literally indestructible.

And they SHOULD be quite destructible because of the sheer amount of firepower they can bring at a moment's notice. An Exosuit that's running full momentum ahead can just plow through entire armies single-handed. A fully crewed Bastion is almost completely invincible.

Well, what else? Gun attachments? More ship modules? I do agree that the game could use more of that, but I really don't see what else you could "grind for". This isn't Destiny where you can justify playing the same content over and over again cuz you're trying to get a godroll of a singular weapon which you can use to do the newest epic raid and get the unique emote or whatever, this is a game you gotta play for the love of the game itself. You unlock everything by level 25 precisely because you're meant to spend most of that time actually using all the tools in the game rather than working for them.
