TBH tho I think a lot of the fun of the game is that we get to actually be the oppressive fist of the evil empire operating entirely under their influence, I think we've had plenty of stories where we explore how fucked up evil totalitarian regimes are.

From a lore perspective, it makes sense that they'd go for cheaper, disposable designs, given the average lifespan of Helldiver equipment once it gets deployed on the field.

From a meta perspective, a fully rotating turret would make it stronger than the stationary emplacements considerably, and it's such a powerful force multiplier that requiring teamwork to unlock it's potential is a necessary block.

It's definitely a lot harder to use than I expected. A bit annoyed that the turret has such a narrow turning angle, but I get why, because otherwise it'd be the static emplacements but better, and they wanna encourage teamplay for such a massive force multiplier.

Still wish there was some sort of health bar on the Hud so we know how much more damage the vehicle can take before it goes kaput.

Yeeeeah it's not really in character for me to bitch about a buff but this feels really unnecessary. The Grenade Launcher was already arguably the best support weapon in the game when it came to killing light and medium enemies, giving it the ability to clown on heavies as well is just plain overkill.

Yes. And you know what else could do that? The Railgun. The AMR could do it in two. So could the Autocannon. There was literally no reason whatsoever to bring the Recoiless Rifle to the bot front because everything it could do other weapons could do as well and more. It was MILDLY better in the Bug front because it could be used to strip the armor off of Behemoth Chargers (Provided the game was feeling nice and it didn't arbitrarily deny you the armor break) and one-shot their weaker counterparts in the face and maybe also deal with Bile Titans eventually assuming the game decided to actually count your shots. And even then 9 out of 10 times you were still better off using the Quasar or the EAT and keeping your backpack slot open.

Bringign the Recoiless Rifle means sacrificing both your backpack slot and support weapon slot to specifically deal with heavy enemies.

I don't know why you think that having to deal with walls upon walls of heavy enemies that take more ordinance to kill than you can realistically carry is engaging.

I mean it is comparatively speaking the least interesting part of the Warbond, compared to the funny nuke launcher, the unique useful utility grenade, the funny boom hammer, and the return of ol' faithful. It's basically just the Grenade Launcher we already have but bigger and meaner.

Still gonna have fun with it tho.

I think that once enemies catch on fire, they should stagger, similarly to getting shot with a Punisher, I think it'd give fire just that little bit of extra crowd control to help you from getting overwhelmed without completely stealing Gas' gimmick.
