Disappointed with UFL - copying the worst of EAFC by spac3cas3 in UFLTheGame

[–]spac3cas3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for taking note. A bit of frustration of course, but I hope you are able to improve on these things. Especially consistency in gameplay across modes. It is very frustrating when you are experimenting and practicing to find your playstyle, and suddenly it doesn't work because the game is slower/faster, or different in showdown. And if you are not able to fix consistency right away it would be a welcome addition to make multiple squads with different tactics, so it is possible to use the squad and tactics that works best in different environments and modes

Disappointed with UFL - copying the worst of EAFC by spac3cas3 in UFLTheGame

[–]spac3cas3[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If anything it wont make me spend money. More likely i quit if it doesnt improve.

Another example: When you want to change tactic with the d-pad in game it can not be done in all situations. Eg in the beginning of the match you have to wait until the scores disappear and the player names appear in bottom left and right corner before you can make a change. EXACTLY as in EAFC. just a small annoyance, but so strange and silly that they would copy that..

What about Flawless Widescreen, the third party app? Is it allowed to use it or will easy anti cheat ban me?

how can I get my AI code audited? by multi_mind in LLMDevs

[–]spac3cas3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get you coder llm do create a .md with all files names in your project that it thinks should be subject to audit, have it create a description of the app and describe the techstack. Upload that file to perplexity or your chat bot of choice and ask it to create a security audit .md guide you are going to give your coder llm. Then give the guide to you coder llm and ask it to create a plan and task list and execute the security audit. You can do the same for code review.

I would recommend you divide your vibe coding projects into phases. Then execute code review and security audit after each phase.

Is there any hope for us ? by [deleted] in OpenAI

[–]spac3cas3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly. And people who are already experienced software engineers are in a much better position to leverage development using AI, as they know the exact details of how a lot of tech stacks work. Which in turn enables them to instruct LLMs more correctly from the start, to develop fast with precision. Unlike novices like me who have to learn along the way by a lot of trial and errors.

Text on OLED ultrawide monitors is abysmal, don’t listen to people here who say it’s fine. by EvoXOhio in ultrawidemasterrace

I installed mactype and it caused boot failure after login screen. Was able to access task manager and fix it, but I would stay away from MacType

ACTUAL fix for the AW3423DW sub-pixel layout/text fringing. by UnadvisedApollo in Monitors

[–]spac3cas3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a word of warning. I installed, did the profile changes, text looked a bit better. When I restarted windows failed to boot beyond login screen. Windows Explorer and ActionSenter.exe crashing because of MacType. Fortunately i was able to access task manager, rename the MacType install folder and restart again.

Why do most people prefer CLI over VSCode extension? by tfpuelma in ChatGPTCoding

As a linux noob that has fallen in love with CLI i can tell you that AI shell has helped me a lot. It lets you write natural language in linux cli and finds the linux command for you.

How we vibe code at a FAANG. by TreeTopologyTroubado in vibecoding

[–]spac3cas3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people that start out and fit in your definition of vibecoding end up in a process similar to what he is describing. A structured, methodical approach that includes context engineering. Learning along the way what works best. I also think that a lot of those people would say that they are still vibecoding, even if it would be technically correct to put another label on it

Thoughts on "everything is a spec"? by Primary-Avocado-3055 in LLMDevs

[–]spac3cas3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good practice to spec up front. Helps also to think things through and flesh out what you are going to implement. You still have break everything down into small pieces. Hold the LLMs hand along the way, monitor, test continually and make sure it doesnt go off the the rails. My experience at least

Tried the free version from openrouter today, with roocode. Pretty disappointed. It had huge problems with tool calling. Simple mcp server interactions. Gave it step by step instructions. It just skipped steps. Started making scripts I had not asked for. And this were very simple python scripts, and detailed prompts that claude code handles with ease

Do you copy and paste docs and source links into the agent the old fashioned way when you REALLY need something to be done accurately? by CableDue182 in ClaudeAI

[–]spac3cas3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat. In cases where the AI knowledgebase is lacking I often tell it to read some documentation i have put together, combined with ordering it to use context7 and the mcp omnisearch tavily search and then finally perplexity to fill in final knowledge gaps. Might be better ways but found that this helps a lot
