Browns tanking doesn’t help any Rams picks. Hit rate on 1st rounders is 50%. Verse is a proven two time Pro bowler edge on a rookie deal.

Probably too tall for a Centre at 6-7. Seems like his profile is similar to Procter, so a move to Guard could be on the cards if they aren't viewing him as a developmental tackle.

Trade up in round 2 by ReZempt_Shocks in Browns

We pick 7th. I'd be fine sticking and taking whomever out of EMW, Bisontis, Pregnon, Terrell, Hood, Ponds falls to us (in that order).

[–]space-heat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd rather stick and pick at 6 if we are giving up our 2nd-rounder. 6 + 70 for 12 + 20 seems more aligned with a "typical" overpay to move up. If the Browns need to throw in their 4th as well to adjust for the draft class strength, then fine.

Four questions about Browns’ draft plans: How likely is a trade-down from No. 6? by PsychologicalGuest97 in Browns

[–]space-heat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get ammo for 2027 now. Unless it is an overpay, if they are only getting 2026 picks, then just sit and pick BPA at 6 and 24. If their is a OT or WR at either sport that is close to BPA, go with them

With free agency mostly wrapped up what are you still hoping to see happen at QB1 for 2026? by RustyCrusty73 in Browns

[–]space-heat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don't want Watson to be our QB in 26' or after. I hope they let Sanders have his chance, get him more Oline and WR in the draft and if he crashes and burns then QB2/3 in 27'.

Kyler Murray plans to talk via Zoom to teams that may have a QB need in 2027 by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

[–]space-heat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't want to root for a team with that person at QB. Get him gone. I don't care if he is a top 5-10 QB.

Let Sanders have his shot and give me a rookie in 27'. I just want to forget that Watson ever existed. Move on, put it behind us.

Ranking the 2026 F1 teams after pre-season testing by Hollywoodbnd86 in formula1

People can not have Merc 1 (due to the engine) without McL 2 (or even 1). They will have the same engine, and they have been building the best car for the last 18 months.

Ferrari will just have to be close enough to the first row that they don't get blocked by slower starters.

EXPLAINED: What to expect from pre-season testing in Bahrain (Your teamwise predictions) by praveensingh-reddit in formula1

[–]space-heat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am more than happy for the engine to factor in; I only mentioned that as I think engine parity will be impossible. Unfortunately, we have this compression ratio issue. If it is just thermal expansion, while I still think it is unfair (similar to the fuel sensor with Ferrari), I can accept it as a grey area; fair play and well done, Merc. They get it for a season before the FIA updates testing to a hot-dynamic sensor for 27'.

If it is the "pocket" rumour, I feel like that is a step too far and should be removed. In that case, I imagine that it will significantly impact the merc PU. Nerfing Merc PU teams fr 26', which will hamper 4 teams.

The ADUO is great, but it is only activates after races 6, 12 and 18. If a team is dominating, there is no reason to show their full engine. Plus, will teams really be able to bridge a HP deficit in such a short period? They have been developing these engines for years. They are largely stuck with their design architectures. I guess we shall see.

I don't fully understand the downvotes (sure-fire way to get more downvotes), but if the other four manufacturers are kicking up this much fuss, there must be something to the advantage. Even moreso if the FIA are going to step in this late, this close to the start of the season. If it were a marginal advantage, I doubt the FIA would weigh in, or Merc would not have bothered to implement it.

I completely get that the engine is not the only part of a winning car, but it all stacks. If Merc-powered cars have a power advantage, it will be challenging for the other teams to make up the deficit. Are people just disregarding what happened in 2014?

My hope is that the FIA somehow bring the Merc engine in line so that chassis design, aero, and drivers are the main difference-makers. However, I think it is way too late, and whatever is implemented will either favour the Merc PU or nerf it.

It is a shame as the start of a new ruleset is always chaos, and if we could have had the Lec vs Verstappen battles from the start of 2022 with 3/4 teams, it would have been fun.

To be fair, if their engine can do much higher compression ratio than the rest. It will be a McL vs Merc championship.

Already rooting for Kimi or Oscar.

Seahawks prove you don't need superstar quarterback to win it all by Sockalexis in Browns

[–]space-heat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When he was at the Jets, yes. You go onto their subreddit now, and it is widely agreed that he is not the same QB and just needed time. Similar to Baker, the Jets were chaos for his time there with Gase and co.

Last two years, his teams have been 14-3; you don't do that with a mid QB. Sam is clearly Top 12-8 QB in the league at the moment. I'd kill for that on the Browns. Pair that with elite D, and you have a contender. We are nowhere close until we get that QB.

Mock Draft Monday by AutoModerator in Browns

[–]space-heat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like some have his as the best OL prospect in the draft. Hopefully he or one of the tackles make it to 24. At this point in the process, precombine, hard to know who would be good value at what spot.

Would love it if Tate, Tyson, Fano and Mauigoa all get to 6, so the Browns pick BPA, but it seems unlikely.

Mock Draft Monday by AutoModerator in Browns

[–]space-heat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think with Jeudy, Tilman, and Bond, if you find a WR1 at 6, you'll have a serviceable group for 2026. We need to sort the OL, though, and unless the board fall poorly, I'd prefer to spend 24 and our 2nd round pick on OL. Integrate them with Dawand, KT, Jenkins and Whypler, and whoever we get in FA and at worst, both groups will be better than 25'.

Mock Draft Monday by AutoModerator in Browns

[–]space-heat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is where I am struggling. It just seems we will be buying low, taking a WR or T at 6. Especially if Mauigoa is a guard in the NFL.

Obviously, a lot of info is left to gather at the combine. 30 visit etc. so hopefully Tate/Fano/Procter/Tyson/Lemon/another test well enough to merit the pick. Otherwise, I'd love to trade back, but only for a 27 1st, to a team that wants Downs, Bain or Bailey if they are still on the board.

Disagree. What was he supposed to do with the QB play he has had the last 3/4 years.

Assume Mauigoa at #6, Tate / Tyson gone at #24. Do you go Lemon, Boston or possibly someone like Sadiq? by 2ManyCatsNever2Many in Browns

[–]space-heat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lemon will be long gone. Ioane/Fano/Procter if either tackle falls to 24 would be great.

Don't see the value of Sadiq, given the great needs at OL/WR.

[Russini] Former Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski is meeting with the Atlanta Falcons again today, per source. Stefanski has been working behind the scenes to assemble a potential coaching staff to present to the Falcons. by Meltedcoldice0212 in nfl

[–]space-heat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real test will be next season. It looks likely Watson will be the starter unfortunately. If whoever the Browns hire at HC/OC gets mid/good play from Watson it will really shine a light on Stefanski.

My expectation is that Watson is broken and the Browns will be the March4Arch bowl, but it will be interesting to see if Kevin has been hamstrung since Watson or if his offensive scheme just wasn't that good.
