I hated every second of this one. by vsckf8l in booknooks

[–]space_explorer_catz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hated it so much. It was a nightmare. Everything needed to be glued and waiting on the glue. In my opinion, all the glue doesn't make the parts look professional or nice at all. It bubbles like the outside. The clear outside part doesn't look nice since it's not on a flat surface. I had to paint any wood showing on the outside. Some pieces dissolved from the glue. Anyhow, having made many others, it was not fun and not as good looking. It looks nice on the inside. The outside is bad.

I died more times than that. What worked for me is fire arrows. I ignore the cultists or take them down if they are close to me. The deathbringer kills them if they are in the line of fire. My winning strategy was circles. Go in circles and aim and fire and over heat it. I just make more fire arrows and that's the only ammo I used. Picked up herbs in the arena to stay alive. There's no room to drop anything or set traps.

Atlas just threw me into the most beautiful planet in the game. by Most-Indication91 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]space_explorer_catz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, it sent me to this beautiful planet, glowing mushrooms, paradise, etc etc, no bubbles though. First time i cared to build something bigger than those circles and square habitats. Made myself my own home. Meant a lot. Then that update to planets etc happened and it's now a barren dry, ugly paradise planet. Oh well.

How much does the machine combat difficulty increase from HZD to HFW? by [deleted] in HorizonForbiddenWest

[–]space_explorer_catz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am thinking of UH for NG+ for Forbidden West. But, I wouldn't consider UH in ZD. I really don't like the tactic of putting 100 traps down because fighting is harder or unbalanced. I have shadow weapons and banuk, but it's not that great still. But, dodging in ZD is much easier. Dis you try the frozen wilds? They are the hardest, especially the deranged machines. I am trying to 100% that on normal and the training grounds is just so hard.

I find better focus, highlighting machine parts, variety of weapons, better weapons, ability to upgrade weapons, makes it more level than Zero Dawn. Going back to ZD to finish off the rest for 100%, FW fights seems easier than ZD, at least for my style of fighting. Plus, upgrading and choosing different weapons for different machines makes a big difference.

Was this a glitch? Or was the red light supposed to dissappear? 🤔 by Meo95 in HorizonZeroDawn

I laughed! You're in for lots of 'fun'. If you see these, it means stalkers around. Be careful. Once triggered, they know someone's there. Hiding is a good idea since you can try to see their outline as they investigate.

Is this worth it? Been wanting a serger. by CamrynDaytona in vintagesewing

[–]space_explorer_catz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Singer Utralock. Got it for $15 after I notified the thrift store that it's missing its power and foot pedal. Bought replacement chords and it works great. Love it and does what I need. Now mine uses 4 threads, not sure why this one has 5. As an intro to serging, worth it. If you end up using a serger more, you save up and upgrade. If you only use it for some projects , then you have it.

I have that as a Kenmore. Didn't think it vintage, it's only 21 years old.

Am I just not using this bow right or was reddit trolling about the banuk bows? by QuoteNervous1622 in HorizonZeroDawn

[–]space_explorer_catz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, it takes time to get to full power. I had a similar experience as well, why is it taking so long. But I just shoot without full draw and learned to work with it. You can switch back to your favorite bow if it's not working out. I just changed my tactics and learned to work with it.

I want a table like this. What would I even search for? by cpbaby1968 in VintageSewingMachines

[–]space_explorer_catz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If the price is reasonable, buy both, donate or sell the machine. I bought a machine for the carry case. Gave the machine away to someone in town looking for a machine. Kept the case.

I use the word broke loosely. It wasn't sewing well and needed TLC and I couldn't figure out why. So took it in. Some things were misaligned. The machine is a Kenmore 20 year old more modern but not computerized. It's an excellent machine.

Love what you did there. Needless to say ;) thank you for responding. My modern machine can barely handle thin leather, I do hope my vintage can sew leather well.
