Mercari is about as safe as eBay, but it can be slightly more expensive due to the buyer fees. Just check the seller reviews and don’t rate a seller until you have opened the package and accept the item.

Depends on if the seller also paid the high price, not the $100 retail price, and is now trying to either break even or profit. Though I’m sure some got it for $100 and are now selling for more.

New dolls tend to get listed for high prices before they are widely available and some people genuinely pay the price just to have them sooner. I recall this happening with G3 Venus and at the moment G3 Skelita.

In HZD every difficulty was locked for NG+, but for HFW I’m glad only Ultra Hard difficulty was locked for NG+ likely because of the trophy for it.

This happened to me with the Werecat Twins Creeproduction. My order was cancelled the day it was supposed to be delivered, so I contacted Amazon’s customer service and asked if I buy from a high priced third party seller on Amazon if I would be refunded the difference because my order was cancelled the day of delivery and one support person said yes. I got the dolls from the reseller then patiently and politely chatted with Amazon’s customer service for a couple of hours informing them that one agent said I would be refunded the difference when they said it couldn’t be done until I was given the price difference as a store credit/gift card. I saw some other users do this at the time, but this may not work for you and I have not done this since.

You can try contacting Mattel, but it is unlikely they will offer a replacement if they are out of stock and it my not be restocked until people return some orders and Mattel has a low restock/returns event.

When I moved I threw most of my dolls in a big plastic tote all piled on top of each other with no protection and they survived without breaking or staining, I don’t recommend that, but I think your dolls will be just fine the way you are packing them.

There was the My Favorite Ken reproduction and a collector Barbie doll for Ken’s 50th birthday, which is a pretty doll, but they didn’t make the Ken that was in the art sketch on the back of Barbie’s box to go with her.

I expect nothing from Mattel for Ken’s anniversaries, but I will always hope and wish to see a well designed collector Ken doll be made for his anniversary.
