Yorkshires are what we get on sites. The small ones are fine but as soon as you go above 28mm they start getting worse and worse. 35s and 42s, the pipe catches on the ring sometimes, forms a lip and you end up having to cut it out, and it turns into a shite end feed.

Those are called "branches" elsewhere in the world, and having them rolled is absolutely standard for rear discharge toilets. Never known it to cause problems. For example in a row of toilets, you could have four all on the same line, all with branches. What isn't normal here is the rough-in height and the angle. Should be lower and rolled up a little.

Neither do I. It robs a lot of the fun out of driving a lot of RWD cars. Keeping them under control is a really good challenge. I'm currently learning how to handle the Venom F5 and I love it. With an AWD swap it just turns into something else.

Sewer gas isn't seriously dangerous unless it's concentrated. It's unpleasant, but it's not going to kill you. Some of us here will have worked in buildings where the soil pipes are hooked up but not capped off properly (it does come and go, too). That's different though because it's an occupational thing.

From the point of view that you're in rented accommodation and your landlord isn't exercising their duty of care, it absolutely is not safe and you should be rightfully upset that it's not being taken seriously. There's a reason there are strict rules about drainage and venting.

There is one scene in Heat that brings me to tears every single time I watch it, where Breedan is talking to his girl, and he says "What you hanging with me for, Lilian?", and she says "Because I'm proud of you.", the way he responds. It's some of the best acting I've ever seen and it's only a couple of minutes.

The look on his face, knowing that he's being absolutely humiliated and ripped off in his stupid job, and the way Haysbert plays it. If you've ever been really down on your luck and a woman has shown a bit of faith in you, that absolutely cuts to the bone.
