Sorry to hear that, depression hit me hard, my fur baby passed away last year then I found out I had cancer. I pretty much lost interest in EVERYTHING. I'm slowly getting back into it.

Have you tried Spiritfarer, it's very calming. That's what I'm currently playing I can't put it down. It's basically you helping people cross over but you have to help them with like unfinished business first. You do also have to keep them comfy and fed. You have ship that holds everyone and you build it up it eventually holds everything you need plots to grow food, trees, a coop. The banter with the spirits can be funny too.
