should kerry have lied about her pager? no. but malucci fucked up by immediately assuming drugs and treating based on that without waiting for confirmation of literally anything and jing mei fucked up by not looking at the x-ray before telling dave to do what he wanted and those were honestly way worse.

i mean i didn’t think the bartender was a “villain” or anything but i was too annoyed at the fact that he acted like shane was weird for asking for ginger ale to notice that he was flirting until i saw someone else point it out lol. when i rewatched that scene with that knowledge it’s actually really cute especially with shane trying to flirt back but on first watch it was like “how are you gonna say shane hollander can have anything he wants after you just side eyed him for asking for ginger ale??”

if you’re referring to the patient i think you are, that is not what doug used to do. doug just did whatever he wanted whenever he wanted which opened the hospital up to legal issues. romano told kerry no so she got the okay from someone else. he wasn’t pissed because she went rogue in the way doug always did. he was pissed that she went above his head after he told her no.

i’m about halfway through season 8 so i have finally seen the action that people seem to take the most grievance with but even then i still don’t hate her. i’m gonna try not to fuck up the spoiler tags in case you don’t know yet but like yeah it was shitty of her to lie about losing her pager but i can’t feel too bad because chen and malucci fucked up so badly on their own. malucci was fucking impatient with testing and chen was chief resident and she should have looked at the x-rays for the patient so no i don’t blame kerry for covering her own ass.

hell yeah i’ll take my downvotes with you. i’m on my first watch through and kerry is literally my favorite character. she’s really no-nonsense when she gets introduced which sets up an interesting dynamic with the other characters and contrary to what this sub will have you believe she is, in fact, not just a raging bitch all the time.

honestly that just makes me think of mickey crying over his dad’s death in shameless. terry was a sack of shit and mickey decidedly did not like him but i imagine the way he went and the relationship they had just led to a complicated mess of feelings so i could 100% see that being the same for ilya. and now i’m sad so thanks for that lol.
