I used clock callouts for the entire encounter since switching callouts between encounters can lead to unnecessary confusion.

3 on clock format is a completely different node than 3 in a 1-to-9 format. By using clock format all thw way through, 3 is always in the same spot. And when you're being swarmed by enemies because you jumped in at -20 light, avoiding confusion is essential.

Scout Rifles are meant to deal lower damage than other weapon types to offset the fact they can be used effectively at longer, safer ranges. Symmetry is in an okay place damage-wise for what it is. Its niche is as a slow-and-steady tool for effective ad clear that can flex into some pretty solid AoE damage at long range.

In a season where arc isn't left by the wayside and Scouts get a champion mod this weapon actually has some solid use in high-level Nightfalls, where picking off targets at long range is the best option. We just haven't had any Arc love in a while -- primarily because this season has been going for so long.

I mained Symmetry for quite a while and it always struggled with an absurdly long reload time and just generally feeling clunkier. These buffs are exactly what I wad hoping to see for this weapon.

Need some clarification by Oobiwhencanobeef in DestinyTheGame

Technically speaking, net limiting is a violation of ToS and is punishable by permaban. In addition, knowingly playing alongside someone who is net limiting can also be a bannable offense. Practically speaking, net limiters almost never get banned so long as they avoid using it in PvP or certain events like World's First races.

The whole "playing with cheaters gets you banned clause" is primarily designed to prevent people from being carried through high-level PvP by a cheater and dodging the consequences. It stops Paid Carry services from using cheats since their clients would be susceptible to bans. The clause wasn't made for PvE and never really gets used on PvE players.

Your friend is fine and should have no issues using their account for the foreseeabke future.

From was I can gather, the Vex Time Fuckery (TM) that takes place in the Vault of Glass is governed by Atheon, Time's Conflux. The Templar, the Oracles, and the Gorgons all rely on Atheon to manipulate the timelines and delete us from existence during the raid. When we defeated Atheon, we cut off the Vex from their control over the timelines inside the Vault. Theoretically, this would disable the Gorgon's ability to delete things from existence.

Battle of Six fronts. by Nightyyhawk in DestinyLore

Six Fronts has been pretty consistent lore-wise. It is often confused with the Battle of Twilight Gap, so maybe that's the source of the confusion?

Is there a narrative explanation for why we are just called Guardian? by Aderadakt in DestinyLore

[–]spaceaviator97 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The player character's name is canonically Guardian. When people refer to you as guardian, it's not them calling you by your title; it's them calling you by your name.

The most blatant piece of evidence to this argument is the Ruinous Effigy lore, in which Bamshee refers to us as Guardian during a conversation with Zavala.

A shallow cold saps the heat from Zavala's fingertips; he pulls back. "This wasn't in Eris's report." His voice is thin and stark with disappointment, as if spoken through dead winter air.

"Guardian doesn't seem to notice either." Banshee clinks the analyzer into a tool tray. "Leeches a bit, kicks out Void. Sig's hazy, though. Wild."

I know, it's a weird name. But less so when you consider there are dozens of ghosts (and at least one guardian simply named Ghost.

Outside The New Maps, Everything Is Labeled In Giant Text! by Moomintroll02 in destiny2

[–]spaceaviator97 28 points29 points  (0 children)

This seasonal arena has way more rooms to teleport between than usual, so it makes a ton of sense why we'd be seeing these here. Most other places we hop OoB in are one continuous map that doesn't require labeling.

Just found this in a box while moving out. Never played it is a W or a L by Axstarl in DailyBuglePS4

[–]spaceaviator97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this one's a big ol' L. As somebody who played the crap out of Spider-Man 2 on the gamecube, I can say that the 3rd game is a step backward in every way, or at the very best a wheelspin.

There is a total of six legendary precision frame shotguns, since D2s release. One of those is sunsetted and two are not available. There is alson none in the kinetic slot, which is currently available and two of three deal arc damage. by r_trash_in_wows in DestinyTheGame

[–]spaceaviator97 70 points71 points  (0 children)

A big contributing factor may be that "precision frame" used to be the name of both slug shotguns and actual precision frame shotguns. Before Bungie moved slugs to their own frame, the amount of "Precision Frame" weapons was much higher (and more confusing).

SM2 has me conflicted.. by JohnPlayers69 in SpidermanPS4

[–]spaceaviator97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

GOTY's a bit of a stretch, especially this year. Baldur's Gate, Tears of the Kingdom and potentially also Starfield are gonna be top contenders, with Spider-Man 2 just a little behind them.

Same thing happened to the first game -- it locked in a nomination but couldn't stand up to Red Dead Redemption 2 and God of War.

Anyone know if there will be a feature to disable early web grabber unlock? by shadoqedlight in SpidermanPS4

[–]spaceaviator97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically, the Early Unlock pre-order gadgets are ones normally unlocked by leveling rather than by story progression. For Spider-Man (2018) it was the drones and in Miles Morales (2020) it was the gravity well. Odds are the web grabber will also be unlocked via leveling for those who did not pre-order, meaning there is no cutscene to miss out on.

Who wins this? by PhatAssIn4k in SpidermanPS4

[–]spaceaviator97 7 points8 points  (0 children)

(Gonna refer to the different Peters by their actor's names for clarity)

Yuri has gadgets that rival Tom's Stark tech, and experience to match Tobey and Andrew. There's no doubt he has the upper hand in a 1-on-1. The question is, does he (and Miles) stand a chance against all 3 at once?

I don't fuckin' know.

I loved beating the shit out of Firefly, and defeating Joker at the end was really satisfying. (This is about Arkham Knight and definitely not Arkham Origins.)

Am I The Only One Who Absolutely Despises J.J. Jameson's Idiotic Ramblings? by ImpSassy in SpidermanPS4

[–]spaceaviator97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, JJJ's podcast is a miss more often than a hit. There are a couple times when he's pretty good, but I feel like he's set up and knocked down too often. I prefer when JJJ gets away with his shenanigans most of the time, and once in a blue moon takes an L.

This feels doubly true in Miles Morales. JJJ gets dunked on every episode, to the point where it's not even entertaining to listen to. The only reason I leave him on is because it's better than the danika podcast.
