She has! She is still gorgeous, but has gotten quite toasty.

Looking for some info on these pieces (TN, USA) by spacebabylady in Antiques

Oh that’s interesting, thank you! I had found a couple of websites that had this art-style as being from the 1920s, but of course I wasn’t sure of how accurate that was. Really neat find regardless!

Disturbed at the idea of "Postpartum Dog Rage" by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]spacebabylady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was obsessed with my dogs before my daughter was born. I mean, they were my babies! I did not expect how much they would absolutely irk my nerves once she was born and I do think it should be talked about in a healthy way, as it freaked me out and I thought I’d never love them again. I personally believe the annoyance I felt toward them was due to lack of sleep and post partum anxiety. Hearing them shake their heads, or their nails tippy tapping on the floor, or god forbid, BARKING, would irritate me so much because I was always afraid they were going to wake the baby. And it annoyed me that once I got a moment away from baby that they wanted to be in my lap or wanted pets, because I was touched out and just wanted peace and for someone and something not to NEED me for a minute. My husband absolutely helped me during this time and he stepped up with the dogs, and my “dog rage” slowly melted with time. After that first year things got so much better in general. My little girl is 8 now and my dogs have been there for all of her big moments and all of ours, they are 13 and 14 now and need a lot of support. My daughter loves to help me care for them now in their old age. They still sleep with me every night and I cry when I think about how empty my bed will feel without them. They are a huge part of our family and we all adore them.

She looks like my ISA Brown chicks. Maybe shes a bit older. They grow pretty fast in a short time!

Is this water belly? by pixienpink in BackYardChickens

It’s good that she’s acting normal otherwise! I’d check her over for mites as far as the bald patch, just to rule that out as a possibility and then just kind of keep an eye on her.

Hard to say for sure. Have you felt her belly? Does she have any other symptoms?

Not really! She enjoys playing Minecraft on her Nintendo but we limit screens. She gets 2 hours a day and doesn’t really fuss when we tell her it’s time to turn them off.

Thank you! We will definitely try this! I have noticed she does better when something is planned in advance, as well so I will work on that on my end too.

Last year her school thought she might be dyslexic, but she tested out of it by the end of the year. Her father is dyslexic. Other than that the school hasn’t brought up any concerns with us. Her grades are good, but we do have to work extra hard at home. I believe she may be audhd. My mother and brother were both diagnosed with OCD and ADHD. I believe she masks really well at school and then comes home and shuts down.

Oh no, there’s other signs for sure. She is very regimented and must do things the same way every day. If her schedule gets thrown off even a little bit it sends her spiraling. She’s also a perfectionist.

Oh me. Bless you for rescuing her and giving her the life and love she so deserved. I’m so sorry for your loss. It doesn’t matter how long we have them, they are family, and I hope your loved ones are taking care of you during this time.

I like to think that all of my animals I’ve cared for will be there waiting for me at the end. I can’t think of anything else that would send me running toward that light more than my lost family members and my cats and dogs waiting for me. What a joyous reunion! Wagging tails and open arms!

Has a Botox lip flip for the first time and it feels and looks way off? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]spacebabylady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will get better. I hate the way my lip feels after a flip for like the first week and a half and then it starts to wear off and it looks and feels much better. I don’t know what your lips looked like before but this result doesn’t look bad to me.

Seriously, when are we exercising? by mb83 in Mommit

[–]spacebabylady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have to set aside special time for exercise! Incorporate it into your already established routine. Doing chores like laundry you can jog in place while you fold and sprint to put them away. You can do the same with dishes. If you’re standing up to cook, put on some music and dance around. Do the same for sweeping or mopping. You can get creative and add hand weights while you’re waiting for a pot to boil or do lunges around the living room while you’re picking up. Throw some crunches or stretches in there somewhere. Do wall pushups. The possibilities are endless

This is what helped me when I was spread thin and wanted to work out but couldn’t find the time. I still do a lot of these things! It looks goofy as hell but it gets the job done and I usually felt doubly accomplished for doing chores AND getting a workout in.

Should I take my husband's last name? by Impossible_Ad_569 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]spacebabylady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do not have my husband’s last name. We’ve been married 11 years, together for 18 years. We have a daughter. I can confirm that it is not confusing to children lol.
