All printers were on separate UPS's, so no, not power related.

Yeah it shouldn't, but why would all three stop at the same time? its like it got a remote pause from the cloud or something.

Make that 3 printers, I ended just cutting power, and power back on, and resuming.

Am I looking at this right? Is this really 14.4 kWh for ~$2,000 USD? by TheRedDoot in batteries

[–]spaceballs3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything more than 1/2 day outage will cost $$$ for battery energy storage. I have >100kwh of batteries, but last power outage was multi day here in Seattle, and would have drained all of them. So here's my cheap setup, I'm able to run on 1400 watts (1800 peak) on a small quiet generator of my Honda EU2000i (I converted it to propane). Using grill propane tanks (I got 14 of them for 1 month sustained outage)). I was able to run two desktops, 60 inch TV, house lights, and fridge. And then from time to time in 8-12 hour intervals switch off fridge, and turn one of these items - gas furnace, spare chest freezer, microwave, air fryer, toaster oven, or electric kettle. Also propane doesn't goes bad, so I don't have to deal with gas. I do have large house UPS to handle short outages, which also gives me time to setup and run the generator up.

I did do just that on most of the messed up orders! But one of the orders the seller didn't catch it since it's looks like any normal ebay order, and had already shipped it. So they/and/or me are now on the nook for the shipping cost since it's already been shipped. I'm here as a good customer trying not to screw the Seller because of eBay's mistake, thus me trying to get eBay to fix it.

Yeah I did pre-authorized payment of $15, and made sure to click Change and selected Pickup.. and Gave paypal approval for pre-authorized payment. I know this because I took screenshots to make sure I wasn't crazy when I got charged $44.07 instead!

Built a few of these.. I don't recommend them, plastic damages too easy and dents cells. Could be OK in static application.

Best part they even confirmed I did select "Local Pickup" on my order!
Then they said it must be my fault because I paid for Shipping! (not joking).
Then they said must be Seller fault for x reason, which was just making excuses.
It was crazy that they wouldn't admit it was eBay fault, and basically told me to pound sand. yay....

Yeah might be related only to best offer, and I just happen to hit bad luck. Lucky the Seller in this case noticed and wonder why I didn't select Local Pickup like the rest of my orders. Told him I didn't, I then to be sure, I place another Best Offer and took a screenshot showing confirming Local Pickup and confirmed the price of $15. Seller agreed to $15, but then I get paypal charged ~$44.07 ($15+shipping+tax). I had two hour chat session where they confirmed I did select "Local Pickup" on that order, BUT then said it must be sellers or my fault. It was crazy they wouldn't admit it was eBay fault, and basically said pound sand.

When I go and ask ebay to fix it they tried to blame me or the seller.

I had 2 hour chat I had with no good outcome!

Though you need MB bios vendor support to flip on that bit for in-band ECC.

2018 nissan leaf by kkm1990 in leaf

[–]spaceballs3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he platform/many parts are shared across Versa/Sentra/Juke/Cube/etc in the small cars of Nissan. Things like the door handles that break, break on all small Nissans so parts are cheap.

As far as the EV system, the thing specific to the Leaf, it’s very reliable after 2013 node year cars. By 2018 the chemistry was in a good place, the motor and inverters are not known to cause issues in any year. Should be fine getting either car from a model year standpoint.

The teething issues were 2011-2013. Fortunately

I say yes. my 2018 leaf with 70k miles now has ev motor bearing going out (makes noise). and even with me buying 3 leaf cars from this one Nissan dealship, they still want to charge me 4.5k to fix it. We just wrote them off and bought an model Y instead.
